Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Set in the densely cluttered streets of "Kowlong," filled with obscurity and chaos, this battle action-adventure game casts players as the "Hyoki," an entity devoid of memory and physical form. His only motive is to eradicate the monstrous beings known as "Slitterheads" crawling around the city, disguising themselves as humans.
Roaming the vibrant neon-lit cityscape, players must seek out allies among humans known as "Rarities," infiltrate and track dangerous organizations, and engage in battles harnessing the power of blood. As the suspenseful drama unfolds, delve into the mystery behind Hyoki's existence and the appearance of the Slitterheads.
The entity called "Hyoki" finds himself wandering amidst the chaos of Kowlong, plagued by the enigmatic monsters known as "Slitterheads" which mimic humans. Though bereft of all memories, he holds one resolute intention: to eradicate every last Slitterhead. Infiltrating the city, he sets out on a mission to hunt down the Slitterheads masquerading within human society.

Devoid of physical form, Hyoki's ability allows him to possess and control human bodies at will, turning the people wandering the city into his pawns. With this power he can slip through barriers, assume the identity of specific individuals, and infiltrate dangerous areas and organizations. By rapidly switching hosts, he can also traverse the city at high speed.

While human bodies are fragile, Hyoki can burn their life force, turning blood into weapons to confront the ferocious Slitterheads. Even when critically wounded, he can continue fighting by switching hosts efficiently. By possessing "Rarities", specific humans who share high sync with Hyoki, he is able to unleash even more powerful attacks and activate various abilities. The cooperative relationship with these "Rarities" holds the key to uncovering the deepening mysteries in the city of Kowlong.

Reviews
This game was a real mixed bag with things I admired about it but more things I didn't. The writing and environments are interesting at times, but the gameplay was an unsatisfying and disjointed hodgepodge. The themes didn't end up landing for me in any interesting ways so I can't really recommend it.
Beautiful setting, music, story and characters! Gameplay is fun, it can get a bit repetitive at times, I suggest playing on easy difficulty.

[MILD SPOILERS] Slitterhead is a very flawed hack-n'-slash game. But not a BAD game. What's going on with Slitterhead is that it has a lot of small negatives and only one big positive. The big positive is the combat... IF AND ONLY IF you can figure out how to land the parry, because the game really does not work if you can't land the parry. For some godforsaken reason, they chose to go with, let's just say, an "immersive" style of controls when it comes to parrying. If you try the game out and really hate the parry system in the first 2 hours, I recommend refunding right then and there. There's some other annoying aspects of the default controls, but those can at least be changed in the Options menu.
This game is all about dark vibes and an unwinnable plotline. If you've played Killer7 or Nier, that's basically what you can expect from Slitterhead's plot. For those that don't know what I'm talking about (everybody), that means Slitterhead's plot is very depressing and also has no resolution. The good guys don't win, nobody wins, everybody dies. This is an Outer Limits/Black Mirror episode stretched out over 1-2 dozen hours.
The reason I bring that up is to emphasize that Slitterhead lives and dies on its combat, it really can't carry itself otherwise. The ending being what it is, if you don't see that coming ahead of time, you're probably not going to like it. There's a lot of small negatives throughout the game too, and they just add up. - Most of the bosses look and feel the same. - Most of the enemies look and feel the same. - The "Talk" segments feel out of place and disconnected from the gameplay. - The scavenger hunts are hit-or-miss. - Everything just feels a little bit clunky. The writing, characters, level design, pacing, music, none of it stands very well on its own without the combat holding it up. I want to call it "bland", but it's not that Slitterhead is bland, it's that it doesn't have nearly enough actual content and assets for how long the game is. It's actually quite ironic considering what the game is about, but you will end up feeling like you're doing the same fights way too many times. The point in the game in which I was most happy with the experience was about 2/3rds of the way through, but it just keeps going and nothing changes. Again, ironic, but couldn't you have created maybe ONE unique boss? Was that too much to ask? I give the game a recommendation anyway because, personally, I had fun! It drags, it definitely drags, but when you get into that loop of switching bodies, parrying into a slow-mo, and then just DOGPILING these xeno-lookin' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like it's Persona, the game shines for real. It just goes on too long. Too many plot twists with too few enemies for what is, at its core, a hack n' slash. Worth it only on sale.
IT'S A SHAME THAT IT'S REALLY UNDERRATED
juegazo
This is exactly the kind of stuff I love. Weirdly ambitious jank made by passionate people, insane story, cool world, creepy enemies. Absolutely do not recommend going for a Nightmare completion, though.
