Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I previously played the original release on my girlfriend's account, and honestly, this Definitive Edition doesn't feel like much of an upgrade. Back on the PS3, the original version had a much darker, more oppressive atmosphere that made the game feel genuinely suspenseful. While this version does patch a few bugs, the visual updates give the character models a waxy look, and the lighting is far too bright even in areas that are supposed to be pitch black. I still prefer the original PS3 release and the now delisted original version on Steam.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Good gang game. 🎲
You'd be daft to not buy this game while on sale and experience it. 10/10
Sleeping Dogs is one of the best games I have ever played.
First of all, the setting. Hong Kong is beautiful, full of life, and the NPCs interact naturally with our protagonist. Lots of hilarious lines in Cantonese. They did a superb job with the mood and replicating the early 2010s feel. The story is very well-written with decent pacing, a little predictable at times, and a powerful lesson in duality and psychological struggles. Characters are genuinely humanized and believable. The combat is brutally satisfying. It's free-flow martial arts with counters, grapples, bone-breaking joint locks, and my favorite...environmental kills. I’ve had Wei Shen stick people’s heads inside fan blades, crush them with an engine crane, hang them by a chandelier, slammed into vending machines and phone booths, and thrown over ledges. I smashed an enemy through an aquarium and used a fish to kill his friend. Progression-wise, the game constantly introduces you to newer, more advanced combat moves right to the end. There's always something to discover, and you’re never bored trying out new combos. The same principle is applied to his "cop," "triad," and "face" skill trees. It encourages you to engage in the many open-world events for the XP boost needed in unlocking these mechanics. The game is not without flaws. Driving anything is…an acquired taste. I resorted to the starter bike the whole time due to floaty physics and the unresponsiveness of other vehicles. Camerawork, especially when driving, really should have been in testing and addressed before release. The guns are treated more as a temporary, mission-driven gadget instead of carrying them around out in the open like the gangster I'm supposed to be. The studio was probably trying to reflect Hong Kong's extremely strict gun laws/control, but the lack of features around storing/purchasing a pistol makes it feel like they were an afterthought. I will warn you, there are A LOT of collectables out there. Some are pretty important, such as the jade statues and health shrines. The other types will take longer than you'd like if you're trying to achieve 100% completion. They're well thought-out and contain benefits, but it's just something to keep in mind. Overall, I highly recommend playing this game; give it a chance. It may have some technical problems and a bit of jank. However, it's a great package with all the DLCs included, and you'll have lots of fun walking down the streets experiencing its personality and soul. My only regret is wishing I picked it up off the store shelves in 2012.
An excellent "gta-like" with its own touch that feels like Hong Kong action movies!
Plot
Playing as an undercover cop, you will need to infiltrate the Triad with the purpose of dismantling it from the inside. The plot was nice to follow between the Triad missions and Cop missions, it feels like classic crime/action/gang movies taking place in China!
Gameplay
Missions will ask you to do either Triad (main missions) or Cop missions. In Triad, you will need to do your job correctly (aka kicking ass) and to not forget that you are still a cop and to act as one, so you need to be careful of not hurting innocent citizens or doing too much damage to the city during the missions. The game has a huge emphasis on melee combat and car chase. The melee combat feels really good and doesn't age! You can throw kung fu acrobatics against enemies, grab them and interact with the decors (like slamming them against a car, throwing them in water, or in the middle of the road, pushing them against electric panel etc). One fall down? Get back to him and grab him again. One doesn't see you? Run and tackle them down! And more! It was great fun to play with the tools that the combat system offers!
Visuals
Still looking great despite its age, specially during rainy night with all the neons around! Excellent art direction, good animations, nothing bad to say on the graphism!
Conclusion
An excellent game that I highly recommend you, just for the combat system alone. I love the overall Hong Kong Triad atmosphere! The game has a strong identity and clearly not a gta-clone, I would even say that Sleeping Dogs has a better gameplay than GTA imo. I would love to have a sequel.
