Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.

About
You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
You're not going to listen to him, are you? We're supposed to save princesses, not slay them...
Features
Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
Hand-penciled art - every background and sprite is drawn traditionally with pencil and paper by Ignatz-winning graphic novelist Abby Howard.
A princess. She's very bad and you have to get rid of her for all our sakes.
No, the Princess isn't a “cosmic horror,” whatever that is supposed to mean. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
Don't even think about trying to romance her. It won't end well for you.
Hopefully you won't die. But if you do, you'll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!
A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both who you are and how the story unfolds. Though I wouldn’t recommend taking any paths outside of the one I lay before you.
A new roleplaying experience from the creators of Scarlet Hollow.
Slay the Princess is a choice-driven psychological horror visual novel/dating sim with dramatic branching, light RPG elements, and hand-penciled art.
What’s in the Pristine Cut?

Expansions to familiar routes. The Den, The Apotheosis and The Fury each have each more than doubled in length.
Over 35% more content overall—and all of it filled with great opportunities to listen to me and do your job.
A new ending. And hopefully one that saves the world rather than damns it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Yeah after playing this I realized I have been making poor relationship choices. 10/10 game though, never enjoyed a VN so much. I'll play a bit more to uncover all of the game's masochistic options.
31 horas. 11 Personalidades. Un platino. Y Cero estabilidad emocional. 10/10
i couldnt fix her
Slay the Princess is hands down one of the most original and creative games I have ever played, where choices actually matter. Every decision deeply shapes the narrative, creating a brilliant, mind-bending experience full of unexpected twists. A genuine masterpiece you must experience for yourself.
Incredible if you're weird about existential dread, agency, or murderous women!
6/10 game for me. I would hit the "Mixed" review button if there is one. since steam asking me "recommend" the game or no... I won't recommend to anyone. Some more the game is now having overwhelmingly positive.. I able to hit the "not recommend" without guilty. The game is about slaying the princess (obviously). The story will react and change base on ur decisions. I so far reach final final endings (twice). The game required you to change on different selection to see the outcome. It is quite refreshing at first, but getting repeated after some point and will annoy u after the outcome doesn't make sense sometime (or all the time) For those like to have a wildest fantasy outcome with your choice, it is game for u. But for those having same thought as me, prefer more reasonable outcome with less repeated grind and choice, maybe next game.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic jesus. On the surface, the premise is almost laughably straightforward: you're in a forest, there's a cabin, there's a princess inside, and you're supposed to kill her. that's it. except, obviously, that's not it. the further you get, the more the game starts peeling apart its own premise. every answer creates another question, every explanation makes something else suspicious, and things that initially seem completely insignificant suddenly become incredibly important. what i think stp does exceptionally well is PERSPECTIVE. not just in the traditional sense of different characters having different opinions, but in the much more interesting sense of asking how much our understanding of reality depends on the person experiencing it. the game gives you situations that should be straightforward, then changes one thing, and suddenly the entire situation feels different. change something else, and now you're looking at a completely different version of the same thing. it's fascinating watching characters develop based on tiny differences in circumstance. they're not simply alternate costumes or slightly modified personalities they can become drastically different interpretations of the same underlying person. and the game trusts you enough to let you sit with that instead of constantly stopping to explain what you're supposed to think. sometimes it just gives you something strange and lets you figure it out yourself.. there's something incredibly satisfying about how much attention is given to their individual personalities, they still feel distinct. some are funny, some are unsettling, some are pathetic in the most endearing way imaginable, and some made me want to die! it's the voices and the princesses. their fears, their personalities, their contradictions, the ways they respond to one another, and especially the ways they change depending on what happens to them. there's so much packed into these characters that i genuinely think you could spend hours analyzing a single one and still find something new. and the horror??? fantastic??? the game is incredibly good at taking something familiar and gradually twisting it until you realize that you're no longer looking at the thing you thought you were. it's uncomfortable without needing to rely entirely on gore or cheap jumpscares. .i also have to talk about the voice acting, genuinely horrifyingly good. the performances add an absurd amount to the game. the narrator especially deserves some kind of award for making me simultaneously want to trust him, argue with him, and question every single thing he says. the writing is equally strong. there's a ridiculous amount of humor hidden throughout the game, which makes the darker moments work even better. . the game understands that being funny and being disturbing aren't opposites. and visually, this game is gorgeous, ACTUALLY stunning. the sketch-like art style fits the atmosphere perfectly. expressions change, details change, the princess changes, the environment changes, and sometimes the smallest visual difference can completely change how a scene feels. what makes stp special isn't one particular twist, character, ending, or mechanic. it's the fact that practically everything works together. the writing feeds into the characters, the characters feed into the horror, the horror feeds into the atmosphere, the choices feed into the characters, and the visuals reinforce the choices. eventually you're left with this massive, bizarre web of interconnected ideas that somehow manages to feel coherent despite how completely insane it can get. i could talk about this game for hours with just so many voices and princesses and interesting psychological theories all presented with such a unique dynamic between every character. which is probably exactly why you should play it yourself. don't read a walkthrough, don't watch someone else play it, and don't look up the endings. just play it. go into the forest, enter the cabin, see what happens! 10 out of 10. a genuine work of art
Jonathan Sims argues at you & himself for 1 hour: its enthralling and the art is gorgeous. I realize that's not nearly enough for a game I'm going to continue to spend hours on, but what can I say? Without spoiling anything, I mean. Did you read a legally distinct make a choice on an adventure game? Did you get more than one ending? Do you, generally, like the dissection of fantasy and video game tropes? This game is for you. Cons: I may regret posting this, but I swear it said there would be... a map? After a certain point, at/near the end of the game. That is a lot of achievements.
