About
You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
You're not going to listen to him, are you? We're supposed to save princesses, not slay them...
Features
Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
Hand-penciled art - every background and sprite is drawn traditionally with pencil and paper by Ignatz-winning graphic novelist Abby Howard.
A princess. She's very bad and you have to get rid of her for all our sakes.
No, the Princess isn't a “cosmic horror,” whatever that is supposed to mean. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
Don't even think about trying to romance her. It won't end well for you.
Hopefully you won't die. But if you do, you'll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!
A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both who you are and how the story unfolds. Though I wouldn’t recommend taking any paths outside of the one I lay before you.
A new roleplaying experience from the creators of Scarlet Hollow.
Slay the Princess is a choice-driven psychological horror visual novel/dating sim with dramatic branching, light RPG elements, and hand-penciled art.
What’s in the Pristine Cut?
3 brand new chapters replete with mysteries—and consequences.
Expansions to familiar routes. The Den, The Apotheosis and The Fury each have each more than doubled in length.
Over 35% more content overall—and all of it filled with great opportunities to listen to me and do your job.
A new ending. And hopefully one that saves the world rather than damns it.

Reviews
It's a visual novel where choices actually matter. The story is very interesting, the art is very captivating, and the score can be both very engaging, jarring, and beautiful. I will keep getting endings, and you should too!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolute peakest visual novel to ever spin the block. Every single scene is drawn with so much heart & the game itself really keeps you questioning your place in its world. BUY! BUY! BUY IT!
So up to this point I've only gone through the game once but overall it was an amazing experience. The art is really cool and matches well with the gameplay style they go for here. If you like choose your own path story games which allow you to explore different perspectives on a story this is the game for you. I think for the price is reasonable given amount of content provided and its replayability but feel like its better off as a game you get on sale. I can definitely see myself beating this game and coming back again after a while and still loving it. I really don't have much I can critique the game on other than maybe wishing it had a little more variety of content in some parts of the story that diverged than the main parts already in it but given what the story actually is it makes sense. I won't say more since it would spoil : [
This was definitely an experience, after getting all of the achievements, all I can say is that I would recommend this game to anyone without a second thought.
The witch is so cutie
CRAZY reverse slalkholm syndrome. Dragon - Witch - Thorn top 3 fs
Slay the Princess got put on my wishlist for a few years, since I love horror and the online reception would have you believe it is one of the most impactful games ever. I think it's good, but the reception to it is incredibly overblown and hyperbolic. It's an interesting visual novel with some cool dialogue and a zillion choices and outcomes. The art style is really cool, and I really enjoyed the psychological/body horror elements to it. I found myself getting sucked into the story. After walking away from it after six hours and reflecting on the experience, it's kind of hard to resonate with the overall point of the game. I don't choose bad or toxic relationships. I kind of side eye people who act like this is some kind of life altering experience. I think those people are probably the drama club type kids where everything is massively overblown and any night they spend drinking with their friends ends up with them fighting with their spouse and crying. I know because I spent a lot of time around these types in my early 20s. As an older, more mature person - and one who is married and never cared for a bad relationship (would rather have no relationship than a toxic one,) the plot did not resonate me. I do think however that the game can spark interesting conversations after playing it, and the story did unfold in an interesting way. I liked it more than I didn't and I would recommend it overall.
