Well for starters , is a fun game for a EA , still some rough edges to be expected. My General thoughs If you played before natural harvest 2 or planetside is similair to it , except for playing as the grunts you will need ur commander to make vehicles in order to drive it, FPS side is abit rough , animations and all is slightly stiff and chucky. driving tanks sometimes vibirates like a drunk man even while stopping , especially zooming in. -Global illumination sometimes just straight up blinds you , even playing as a commander i sometimes had a hard time seeing my building and units as the mighty sun blinds me with its majestic brightness. -Economy side that being humans(both sides) , the haversters are wonky sometimes ,it does its job for a time a do jack all ltr ,which is annoying when the enemy is at the gate while John harvester is staring at the resource node for 5 mins before i realise my eco is screwed. I highly recommend adding small haversters to the roster as a early game resource collector or rework the harvesters -Ze Aliens(i call them bugs) .First off , they are a fun bunch to play as but they are really overtune in the eco sector , unlike humans , bugs gather resources like the zerg , they have small bois munching to collect resources , and unlike humans if you lose a harvester your economy will drop like a piano , but the bugs? if you killed one , ten will take its place and when it snowball , the bugs snowball very hard so much that i sometimes feel abit pitty for the other players of the opposite faction due to the sheer amount of bugs that can pop out and some of thier units are kinda busted like the behemoth , alot of players complained that the range of that buggo is super far. other than that is a fun game to play with the community and for the RTS vets out there please be nice to the new guys yea? 28/6/2026

If you are looking for a game that is cosistantly engaging, visually fantastic and interesting mix of FPS and RTS strategy, I cannot reccomend this game enough. Great online scene with active development for top down and ground level commanding. The sheer intensity of combat and vehicle simulation keeps me coming back for my taste of sci-fi destruction and tactical gameplay. As a fan of Dune, Stargate and Starship Troopers. Every itch is scratched at once with this game. Highly recommend!

Few games are truly unique. Most "borrow" or outright steal ideas from others then mix and match. Silica takes two genres and blends them seamlessly to producr a truly unique game. The game is still in development so the rough edges are like sharp rusted metal when you hit them (save game malfunction, I'm looking at you!). However for $20 this game is a must buy for those who ever dreamed of jumping into one of their units on the battlefield of a strategy game they were playing and controlling it from 3rd person view or controlling infantry from first person view! The strategy gameplay is also the most fun I've had in a while with a strategy game. It's missing almost all polish, there are no hints to let you know which items were unlocked and the troop transport dropped my guys from a couple of hundred ft up in the air killing them! Hopefully the developers will fix these bugs to make this a truly winning title for strategy fans. However it does have its moments! Tower defense gameplay is welcomed in it with no insanely overpowered angle to disrupt that. This means you can setup a tower defense scenario then let the AI handle control for a while and enjoy yourself on the battlefield. The command and conquer to first person switching and back works and its awesome.! The game has incredible potential but it is up to the the developers to flesh it out. An engineer class for infantry would be my dream wish for this game. That way I could truly get lost on the battlefield by repairing my combat vehicle of choice instead of dying in it or abandoning it! I'll write a full review on my publishing site but I had to shoot off this one quickly to help prospective buyers. If you ever wished you could be in the original Starship troopers movie; just drop onto the battlefield and mix it up whenever and wherever you chose then this is the game for you. Needless to say it does the job infinitely better than the game titles that are licensed by the intellectual property. This is a game created by fans of that movie, you can tell in the first few minutes of game play. Give this one a try if you want something original and like the genres and movie I mentioned. Blending them has been a dream of gamers since the first top down strategy game hit the first PCs. I'm glad I am still around to see it done right!

The game still needs some years on the oven, but if played with friends its pretty fun! Definitly think of getting it with friends

Amazing project with great ideas, lots of ambition and very nice grafics and soundtrack. A bit janky here and there, but work is being done with many updates and fixes. Excited to see how it will develop over the next years!
