Reviews
I bought this game 3 years ago but never looked at it. I now see that it does not contain a campaign mode although it was promised, Campaign = “planned, not implemented”. Is this shelved, i do not like multiplayer PvP games.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great mix of FPS and RTS, AI pathing can be a bit clunky at times. The game is beautiful in game though, with a dynamic day / night cycle and truly epic visuals the resulting battles can really feel and look amazing.
Refineries need to be reworked, they are way too big for some maps and the refinery vehicle's pathing doesn't work half the time. Building also needs to be changed because half of the places the game forces you to build in won't work with the pathing of the vehicles. Building snapping always tries to put buildings in terrible spots (or spots where I know the AI can't path to) than if I were just able to manually place it. Skirmish AI is incredibly easy and the aliens do not expand Other than some small flaws this game is a very cool concept
Im in love with this Game....i played RTS\FPS games befor but this one done it right!! amazing game. the devs are working hard. this one is better than natural selection 2 better than savage 2....and better then Eximius....and its just EARLY ACCESS What???
A bit of an unfinished feel to it, but for what it is so far, it has massive potential!! The unit scaling is really effective for an immersive experience. Just needs some polishing, some more mechanics, and more adjustable game settings.
Silica is one of those games that makes you stop and think “why aren’t more games trying this?” It blends FPS and RTS in a way that actually feels playable rather than a gimmick. One minute you’re on the ground fighting giant alien creatures with a rifle, the next you’re zoomed out commanding units and managing the battlefield. The atmosphere is the real highlight. The desert world feels harsh, lonely, and dangerous, and the sound design does a great job selling the scale of the fights. Playing as the alien creatures is also surprisingly fun and gives the game a very different pace compared to the human side. It’s still rough around the edges. The UI can be clunky, tutorials are limited, and finding populated servers can depend on the time of day. However, when a match comes together, Silica creates moments that feel like Starship Troopers mixed with a classic RTS. If you enjoy experimental multiplayer games, large-scale battles, and the idea of switching between commander and soldier on the fly, this is absolutely worth a look. It's different, but in gaming we need different. We need some new to add spice to the relationship.
