Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

CHART YOUR OWN PATH TO VICTORY
Shape your empire's unique story by pursuing a wide range of distinct Triumphs, attribute-based objectives that offer a player-driven experience. As each new Age expands the game's scope, it also brings opportunities to borrow elements from other civs, unlock new bonuses, and achieve Victory in myriad new and exciting ways. Order Commanders to move armies as one, engage enemies with revamped combat mechanics, equip swappable leader bonuses across campaigns with Mementos, and much more.
PLAY AS VISIONARY LEADERS OF PROGRESS
Embody illustrious leaders with one of Civilization's most diverse rosters yet, from traditional heads of state known for militaristic might or political prowess to visionaries who made lasting impacts on philosophy, science, human rights, and more. Your chosen leader will endure across the Ages, with a unique ability that can help reinforce or pivot your strategy from one Age into the next. For the first time in franchise history, leader selection is separate from your civilization, giving you the freedom to create all-new strategies by mixing and matching gameplay bonuses.
EXPLORE A WORLD VIVIDLY BROUGHT TO LIFE
Make your mark on a gorgeously detailed world! Your empire comes to life with a diverse range of cultural styles, represented across building architecture and Unit design. Reviews
Firaxis Games can and WILL scam you out of your money when they think they can get away with it. Founder's Edition was a lie sold for way more than the original game's price with the intention of exploiting all of Civ's greatest fans.
If you wanted a new and different civ game genuinly try Humankind instead. This game is plagued with 1000 different boring mechanics that are just click button to earn special curency all just to get some random +1 yeild. So many features from older civ titles feel like they have just been striped down to clicks and all their gameplay nuance is removed No builders No strategic resourses No religious combat No map generation options No map editor and combat is like the same 3 units the whole game The rivers are cool though

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 6 markets with a position on both sides, 4 climbed and 2 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Can't play offline, WTF is the point? Trash
WORST Civ . Every aspect of the game is worse . War is bad : you dont decide when you stop . Ages are terrible - they wipe all your progress , intervene with your plans for no reason . Science works weird . Every mechanic is annoying . The amount of mechanics is stuggering : so many confusing stuff is happening , so many alerts regarding things you never knew existed ! The game does everything to confuse and annoy you , and nothing to help . Graphics are cool . Loading times are too high , especially when age changes . Leaders are , in most cases, are some random NPCs without any historical impact . I never heard about almost any of them . I downvote this game , because I love the series , and devs must know , that they are wrong . They did huge mistake , they lost loyal fans . I hope , they will learn the lesson . But if you read this to decide to buy or not - do not buy . You will suffer.
I just played this during the free play week, just got through one game and I cannot recommend this. Lets start with the game itself. It looks okay but not great, don't much like the art style or design of it. They kin of copied aspects of Humankind in the city building which I like more than in the last one but still wouldn't call it good. Human kind does it better. Cities look nice though. They did something interesting with the combat with the commanders, kind of copying Humankind again but making it more a mixed system. Units can be moved individually or with a commander, this I actually liked. But in general the combat isn't great. Same old formula but kind of limited in terms of units especially as you advance. Diplomacy is still hella limited, really cannot overstate how horrible the diplomacy sysem in this game is. Very limited interaction options, especially during peace treaties there's the options give gold, give influence, and give cities. Done, that's it. And the bots never have enough gold or influence for it to matter. Diplomacy is a big minues again. Tech and tech tree is standard, nothing different or special done with it. Big meh. The ages are garbage, I guess it's meant to be a reset that to an extend stops steamrolling by a player getting an advantage. That part is good, but it's just a weird interruption to the game. Best is if it interrupts a war, reseting everything to the previous status quo. And the best part, there's only 3 ages. That's it. The entirity of Human history is divided into 3 ages. And the crises are just boring and pointless. This might be the worst part of a bad game. Guess they'll add more in the coming paid dlc. And that brings us to the last point, the crazy lack of content. Too few leaders, too few civilizations and more copying of Humankind just worse again. This game is very obviously made with the idea of selling a barebones game with barely any content and then realeasing one DLC after the other seeling new leaders and civiliaztions. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game that hopefully noone buys. I miss the good old days of Civ 3, 4 and 5 compared to what we get now.
Despite being such a long-standing franchise, even Sid Meier makes mistakes. Civilization VII is lacking in depth and variety, opting instead to introduce new systems that lack development. As is usually the case with more recent Civilization games, there will likely be a large expansion that will improve the game flow vastly. Until then, I cannot recommend this game.
Visuals are nice. That's about the best thing I can say. Rest of the game has as much soul as interactive spreadsheet. There's so much clicking, so many dubious game systems that seem to detract from immersion instead of promoting it. The UI is clunky and sense of epic civilisation building is absent. Worst of all, the decision of mix and match cultures is cancer. Copying Humankind was a dumb decision.
If you expect a Civ3/4/5 gameplay, just pass. Don't waste your time and money. Wait for another two, or I don't know how many years, of these pitiful kindergarten-oriented sequels, until these folks realize that they took the wrong turn. It's not a strategy. It's not a Civilization. Boring, linear and thoughtless gameplay. Pure disappointment. Play Civ5 and hope for the bright future (this is not it, 4sure),
too many bugs make the game unplayable, do not buy
Even with the update, still 6 > 7.
