Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments

很出色的侦探推理游戏，代入感很强。就是优化不太行，场景切换时会卡退。道德选择后要卡一会儿才进入下一章。当时差点放弃游玩，弄了好久才找到解决卡退的方法

I gotta admit i liked this one more than Devil's Daughter. They really got the essence of sherlock pretty well methnks (coming from someone who adores the original books). I thought i'd be more bothered by the outdated controls and such but i really didn't have a problem at all !!

Начуваний серією ігор про Холмса. Нарешті дійшла черга до власного проходження серії ігор. Стосовно першого враження: чудові. Стилістика приваблює, ще із студентських років вабив сетінг того Unreal Engine, у розробників у ті часи вийшло передати це на ура. Звичайно дяка за українську мову. Справи цікаві, але часом не зрозуміло в якій послідовності робити ті чи інші дії (Тобто в першій справі про вбивство Чорного Пітера, коли я знайшов доказ, то було не зрозуміло чому я повинен був піти до саме того персонажа, хоча доказ стосувався іншого), проте це можливо обумовлено пластичністю самого Холмса. QTE-моменти - нормальні, не потрібно жмякати на всі кнопки щоб підхопити, допомога із пропуском - також плюс. З мінусів: проблема із відображенням деяких тіней на об'єктах. Так звичайно грі більше 10 років, тому можливо це проблема з новішим обладнанням, але точно не можна скорелювати залежність. Загальна оцінка 8/10.

At the beginning, I was able to complete the first case without any issues. However, when I reached Riddle on the Rails, I noticed that my interaction with Robinson was bugged — I couldn’t analyze his clothes or other items. The second problem was that his luggage was missing from the luggage room. I searched everywhere online but couldn’t find a solution. Eventually, I discovered the problem was caused by my own system. In My Documents, the save folder was showing the Counter-Strike: Source icon instead of the normal Sherlock Holmes files. Clicking it even launched CSS. I uninstalled both games and then reinstalled only Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, and the problem was completely fixed. Despite being an old game, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments is surprisingly well-designed and complex. The investigation mechanics, deductions, and attention to detail make you think carefully and truly feel like a detective. The game challenges your logic, observation skills, and decision-making instead of just guiding you from one objective to another. It’s a great example of how older games can still offer a deep and memorable experience.

Best sherlock game out there by far , Completing it many times. Closest to sherlock Universe everything accent , voices , environment , charachters physics, looks and faces .
