About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

I know, I know. This looks like the latest offering in a long line of 'tidy up' games, but this one? Actually fun. It actually calmed my nerves, and where almost every other game has failed, actually managed to keep me occupied for long stretches at a time. It's mindless, straight forward cozy fun, and not needlessly frustrating. What more could you want?

Undisclosed AI use, very disappointing
GOOD TIMES. Really simple but easy to sink a few hours into. Also nimi nightmare is in the game so thats an ez yes from me.
This is exactly what I wanted after playing Librarian. No notes, perfect from the get go. If you have been bummed over the last few Tidy Up games this one will respark your love of the genre
I am obsessed with games like this right now, even though I know most of them are Unity assets or AI copy paste of Arcane Library. I will say, most DO NOT even come close to that one, but this one is the closest I have found. I enjoy the variety of fantasy style objects, and, while a lot of things do not have unique creative names, a lot of them do. I would highly recommend this one alongside Arcane Library. I wish it had more levels with more items since I am about to be finished with the 3 modes!
I could never find any of these types of games without the use of AI. I first saw this game being played by TheHotCross on youtube, and, him being anti-ai, decided to look it up. When I saw that the Devs realized there were AI assets, and REMOVED them, I was sold. at 4.79$ on sale, this game more than pays for itself. Cute art, soothing music, and fun gameplay. You can buy upgrades to sort things easier and carry more things, the items are unique and fun to look at. There's three levels, and I'm on the first one still, but I'm having so much fun. It's such a calming, relaxing game, perfect to kick back on a weekend and settle in for some sorting. Thanks Devs, for making something without AI, and for putting so much care into a cute, fun game.
This game is SO fun. There's lots of replay-ability with the four modes. The items are adorable and make satisfying noises when placing in their spots. A little wooshy sound plays when the shelf is completed. The shops look beautiful and cozy. There are a few music tracks to cycle through via the harp by the door so there's no shortage of cozy music to chill to. It's just so cute and satisfying! Highly recommend, especially if you like these type of games!
Shelves and Sorcery: Tidy Up the Enchanted Shop

10-30+ hours to complete, Shelves and Sorcery is new to the new Tidy Up genre that’s recently gotten wildly popular thanks to Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library, and if you’ve played that one, you will enjoy using magic and spellcasting to organize these enchanted shops! At the moment there are three different maps with four gamemodes – Casual, Timed, No Magic, and Archmage – with timed not being a countdown, but seeing how fast you can complete the level which then gets added onto a leaderboard. There will be a multiplayer mode in the future, which I’m excited for and look forward to playing. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3794240572 Each of the current three levels build on the last one so far, with The Hearth and Barrel being the smallest with 1,048 items and The Grand Athenaeum being the largest with about 4,000 items. There are an assortment of items from food, weapons, potions, books, and crafting supplies. Each item has a place it belongs to in the store and aside from having items on the correct shelf, you can organize things how you like. When a shelf is completed, you get a visual confirmation as well as the nameplate changing colors to black and yellow. Overall, it’s a really nice game about organizing many things that has a lot of potential for future updates and new maps. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3794240486
If you liked this review and want to read about similar games or just support me on my journey of playing my entire Steam backlog, you can join my curator group, Rune's Reviews! Have a nice day!
