About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

There are a lot of games like this popping up, but this one is probably my favourite, even better than Arcane Library, definitely also check out the devs other game Teddy's Haven if you like cozy shop games
I don't often leave reviews, but this is one of the few Librarian-like games to have come out recently that isn't cash-grabbing AI-made jank. The developer is the same who made Teddy's Haven, and very clearly is active and passionate about the game. I reported a bug and he fixed it within half a day, which may be the fastest turnaround I've ever seen from a dev in my entire life. Overall, this game scratches the Librarian itch and actually feels like a real cohesive game made with care instead of a lazy asset flip, so based on that alone, it's already better than most other games in this subgenre!

7.5/10 I MUST MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THIS GAME DOES USE A.I. GENERATED CONTENT ON THE WALL DECORATIONS. I ONLY JUST NOTICED AT THE END WHEN I WENT THROUGH TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF THE STORE ALL CLEANED UP AND FOUND MANY INSTANCES OF A.I. NONSENSE IN THE TAPESTRIES. Okay, let me start off by saying this game is a lot of fun. I like the names they used for a lot of the objects, like the "high speed ram," for example. The colors are vibrant and everything is fairly easy to find. There is mostly a spot for everything to fit neatly. I like how all the books are different sizes, and you get context clues for what books belong to what series if you look at their covers. Also, the powerups, such as "homeward," which sends your whole hand to the "correct" shelfs is really nice... HOWEVER! I MUST MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THIS GAME DOES USE A.I. GENERATED CONTENT ON THE WALL DECORATIONS. I ONLY JUST NOTICED AT THE END WHEN I WENT THROUGH TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF THE STORE ALL CLEANED UP AND FOUND MANY INSTANCES OF A.I. NONSENSE IN THE TAPESTRIES. sorry to repeat that bit, but it must be known. As far as i could tell at the time of purchasing, it didn't say anything about a.i. generated content being in the game, and a friend told me it didn't have any when he saw me playing a little bit of it. Now that i know that it has that issue, i'm knocking some points clean off. Also, the game is a bit too stingy with the carry limit. A max of ten items in your hand with full upgrades is criminal. I would rather it be 15, as the berries alone cause one to go back and forth so damn much. I was going to give it a 8.5, but yeah...
If only I was this motivated to tidy my own house! Surprisingly addictive when you need to switch your mind off after a busy or stressful day. Works beautifully on Linux too!
Updated review: Very appreciative of the response from the dev and swift removal of AI assets. Legitimately was my only gripe with the game in an age where it's exhausting to have to be on guard for AI at every turn. Otherwise, a glowing recommendation & big kudos to the dev for actively taking the community's feedback into consideration & addressing concerns directly.
- Cellar Keeper - Supermarket Chaos - Toy Keeper - Librarian Tidy Up the Arcane Library - Spielzeugladen: Große Aufräumaktion! (Toy Shop Tidy Up) - Big Bad Pharma
Cute, a good addition to the "cleaning up" games trend
Even tho its just just assets from Teddy's Haven, which is not a bad thing, because you regocnize stuff easier and not have to overwork your eyes or your brain. I would say its as good (or even slightly better) than Librarian: Tidy up the arcane Library which is also a great game in the genre. Pros: + Easy to recognize items of different sizes and where to put them. + Cozy and relaxing game. + More maps and different challanges + Really nice artstyle. + Havent found any bugs as of yet. Cons: - The physics of some items when u throw them needs to be tuned and some gravity would be nice aswell so items dont get stuck in the air. - Some items need to have their click-box increased abit (the teeth looking items especially). - LEADERBOARDS.. i really dont like the fact (or understand it) why every game nowdays feel that they need to have a leaderboard.. Sure you dont have to engage in it if you dont feel like it ofcourse.. but it usually brings a bad crowd to a game (cheaters) built on being "relaxing". Which kinda defeats the purpose of a game being just that. Sure its optional but that just my opinion. While the cons are just miniscule. Its still a really good game and for the price its well worth (even if not on sale) if you are into these types of games. Also if you havent already, go play Teddys Haven aswell!
Definitely one of the best games in the genre. LOVE that there are multiple levels. if the devs continue adding more it's only gonna get better. and for that price?? don't even think twice about buying it if you liked Arcane Library and want more. I wish I could buy the game twice! <3
If you want to organise everything neatly, you're in the wrong place. The shelves are two across by three up, for six slots. Not a problem, except that nothing fits neatly. Some of the potions come in sets of four, some sets are in three, some are two. There are a bunch of potions that are one-offs. The same goes for the veg. The veg containers are three across and two up, and the first row you put in the bottom containers are practically invisible for smaller veg, like dews and cloves. There are three blue and two purple jams that are practically identical, apart from their names. The same goes for some of the orange and black berries, but at least their shapes are different. Ores and their refined versions are close to neat, if it wasn't for the green and aqua. The threads and wools match colours, mostly, but the tufts match half with both and half with the threads. The cheeese is a lost cause, so it's ignorable. The books drive me up the wall. So many sets of three. So many themes are take up more than six slots. And it's so easy to think you've gone to the wrong shelf because the lighting makes such a big difference to the appearence of the book. And as a bonus, holding the book shows you the cover, but the shelved books are at an angle where you have to stand far to the right to see the covers of books on the right side of the shelf, and most of the spines are too simple or similar to be useful. Toys are the only ones that can be neatly arranged, The daggers and warhammers are fine, just because of there aren't enough of them to organise. And why kick me out the instant eveyrthing is put away?? I want to stand and admire for a while. Clicking a button to go back in is too late. The thrill is gone.
