About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

So muss man in jedem Obst, Gemüse, Schwerter, Kristalle usw. sortieren.

This was the first Librarian dupe that actually interested me. The variety of items, and the fact that there are currently 3 different maps. I have played each map at least once. My overall thoughts are positive. I enjoyed it almost to the same level as Librarian. I liked the different types of items, and being able to choose how I organize them. And I enjoyed that the maps progressively got bigger with more items in each category, which helped make organizing easier. That being said, there are some negatives. The music is the same song on repeat, and it can't be more than a few minutes long. That gets really annoying and repetitive when you're playing a game for 16 hours. I had to mute my tv at one point because I couldn't handle the same song anymore. The spell that sends items back to their shelf works for anything you're holding. I would've appreciated if it worked differently, only with the same types of items, to encourage not just picking up at random and sending it all away without much thought. Organizing games should be more about how meticulous it is. But I recognize that you can play it however you want despite this. The only other issue I had was your max hold amount is 15, and there are some items that have slightly more quantity than that. Seems like an oversight? It shouldn't be that way. Then there's the achievements. Because "no magic" and "timed" are separate (why?) and there's an "all magic unlocked" mode, that means in order to get all achievements, you have to play each of the three levels FOUR TIMES??? That is ridiculous and excessive. I get enjoying the game, and wanting to play it again, but I shouldn't have to be forced to when three of those playthroughs could be done in a single instance and at my discretion. All in all, very enjoyable despite the issues, and a fun game to play. The dev is very responsive to fixing reported bugs as well!
it says no ai was used but ... im not very convinced when looking at the tapestries gameplay wise i love it its a great organizing game. i wish you could carry more items especially in no magic mode because 5 is super limiting.
If you're the kind of person who would even open the store page for a game like this, you're the kind of person who's going to like it. This is set in the same universe as the developer's shopkeeper game, Teddy's Haven, and feels familiar if you've already played that. I've had that game for about a year, and the dev has been issuing updates and improvements the entire time. You can trust him to keep up with this game, too, unlike the AI slop-generating developers cashing in on the genre trend right now.
Maybe it's just me, but I find the signs indicating what goes where hard to parse, meaning I basically have to walk around and see what it will allow me to place where, adding a bunch of extra work. I'm also not about using assets of totally normal veggies and giving them fantasy names, but again, personal preference. Also the signs that pop up when you start placing items completely cover some of the smaller items.
If you want to organise everything neatly, you're in the wrong place. The shelves are two across by three up, for six slots. Not a problem, except that nothing fits neatly. Some of the potions come in sets of four, some sets are in three, some are two. There are a bunch of potions that are one-offs. The same goes for the veg. The veg containers are three across and two up, and the first row you put in the bottom containers are practically invisible for smaller veg, like dews and cloves. There are three blue and two purple jams that are practically identical, apart from their names. The same goes for some of the orange and black berries, but at least their shapes are different. Ores and their refined versions are close to neat, if it wasn't for the green and aqua. The threads and wools match colours, mostly, but the tufts match half with both and half with the threads. The cheeese is a lost cause, so it's ignorable. The books drive me up the wall. So many sets of three. So many themes are take up more than six slots. And it's so easy to think you've gone to the wrong shelf because the lighting makes such a big difference to the appearence of the book. And as a bonus, holding the book shows you the cover, but the shelved books are at an angle where you have to stand far to the right to see the covers of books on the right side of the shelf, and most of the spines are too simple or similar to be useful. Toys are the only ones that can be neatly arranged, The daggers and warhammers are fine, just because of there aren't enough of them to organise. And why kick me out the instant eveyrthing is put away?? I want to stand and admire for a while. Clicking a button to go back in is too late. The thrill is gone.
Hi! Please translate it into Russian, I really want to. The game is awesome.
If you want a game that is good and mindless, this is it! I loved Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library! and have been watching a lot of similar games pop up in the months since. I think this one is the most creative I have seen so far, and the fact that there are 3 different levels that have more and more items that allow for different trialing (timed, all magic, no magic, casual gameplay) etc. allows me to sink hours into this mindlessly. If you are a completionist, the gameplay loop is well worth the price, and the creativity is fun. While Librarian will always reign supreme, this is a close second. I also love that it isn't buggy in my experience. Occasionally, an item spawns outside of the reachable realm, but you can hit a button to bring it back into play and move forward, and that's all that matters to me!
Great organizing game. I like this more than Arcane Library because of the visual variety of the items you're sorting. It's also nice that you get three maps to work in, you get more time and value out of the game for your money. It always annoys me that none of these games have item fall physics, if I pick something up from the bottom of a pile I want the items on top to fall or roll away. My ultimate dream for these types of games is that there is a level with like, 100,000 items to sort, like a mega map, that would be amazing.
