Shelve the Potions!

Shelve the potions! is a really great little tidying game! I've played most of the games in this genre and this one definitely stands out in the best possible way. This game feels handcrafted, it looks unique, the environment is interesting, cozy and appropriately sized (you don't spend lots of time just running around a huge room). You have to solve some light puzzles to figure out the order of the potions on each shelf, but these are absolutely approachable (and if you're struggling, your feline helpers can give you hints). This light puzzle element is different for games in this genre and I really enjoyed it. Out of all the games I've played in this genre, this one has some of the absolute best and most intuitive controls as well. The devs have been clear about no AI being used in any aspect of the development, which is a huge plus in my book. I'd absolutely recommend Shelve the Potions! to enjoyers of the tidying game genre.

Love this game! I have played many of the recent tidy up games, this one has a fun twist of having to figure out the order of items on the shelves by uncovering "puzzles" in the shop - debatable if they are actually puzzles, I think they are too simple to be called that. There is only a few of them too, so if you are looking for puzzles specifically, I would look for a different game. Compared to other similar games, this one has really clean graphics, it doesn't take effort to figure out what you're holding and the bright colours make the individual potions lying about on the floor easy to see. Best UI in this type of game by far. It's also a good balance of enough items items to make it take a while, but not so many that it feels tedious. I completed the game without using any abilities on the first run - almost 7 hours and it never felt like a slog, just a chill organizer. Really enjoyed it!

A charming game that doesn't overstay its welcome. It has a unique art style, simple enough mechanics, and is easy enough to get the hang of. Perfect for playing while listening to podcasts and the like.

I love it, nice turn your brain off. Puzzles were super fun, and W devs for refusing to use AI! I loved 100%ing it, would probably have been a lot easier if I let myself use the spells though ahaha

I absolutely love this game. After playing a few different "just put these things on the shelves with their matches" games, this is a refreshing take on the genre. The puzzles really aren't that hard. I, too, was a little confused in the beginning, but if you actually READ the tutorial steps you will be fine. I know, I know. Reading. Big ask. To the people saying that after solving the puzzles it was boring, maybe you forget that this is an organizing game like many others, and if you don't like mindless organizing why are you playing this kind of game? [u]The good stuff: [/u] There are SO MANY CATS you can pet!! <3 They are the best hint system I have seen in any game, ever. I was relieved that the graphics on this one do not make me motion sick. Clean lines and bright lighting, and none of that blurred edges or head bob nonsense (who actually WANTS that?! Stop putting it in games!!). [u]The not-so-good stuff:[/u] I do wish that each color section had at least one puzzle unique to it, but with so many sets per color I can understand why reusing them is necessary. I am unhappy that there is an achievement for using a hint, but no achievement for finishing the game without using a hint. I am a no-hints kind of puzzler, so it would have been nice to have, but it's not that big of a deal. [u]Tips:[/u] [list] [*]Talk to the cats, press the puzzle piece tab on the side, and you can ask them to highlight missing clues, or for a hint on unsolved puzzles. [*]Hold [b]LEFT CTRL[/b] to zoom in, not just on the environment, but on the potion in your hand. It will help with the things you need to count. [*]Hold [b]TAB[/b] to view the solution to the puzzle of the potion you are holding, once you have solved it (I had actually written everything down before discovering this accidentally). It's a very relaxing game, where you can turn your brain off and just causally pick up and organize stuff. It's purely to take your mind off of everything and just relax while focusing your thoughts. Perfect for when you want to play a game to take your mind off the real world, and you don't want to have to replace your tv/monitor after throwing your controller/keyboard through the screen out of frustration from a PvP match or something.

Игра интересна только первую полку. Тебе надо найти подсказки к загадкам, понять как их решить и прочее. Загадки простенькие, но заставляют хотя бы чуть чуть подумать, но после, когда у тебя есть все решения, это становится очень тухлым повторением одного и того же с поправкой на минимальную разницу в дизайне. Если играть для удовлетворения от разгребания бардака - нужно доработать скиллы, которые в том виде, что они есть сейчас, почти бесполезны, и все сделано для того, чтобы как можно сильнее и мучительнее растянуть однообразный геймплей. Если бы была возможность собрать все 10 зелий с полностью прокачанным скиллом и возможность автосортировки на полку, когда загадка уже разгадана, было бы гораздо лучше. Сейчас же это лишь повторение одного и того, и мне оооооочень интересно высматривать сколько там листиков у этого гребанного цветка в десятый раз, что не так-то и легко даже с большим (3440х1440) монитором. Улучшите скиллы, возможно добавьте больше загадок и будет плюс, но пока жуткая неинтересная духота
