Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In contrast to Fe, Sea of Solitude actually has some production value, and merit. It isn't immediately grating, it's not annoyingly obtuse and it has a story to tell. Unfortunately, it is let down by basically non-existent gameplay (you walk, and you swim, the only real gameplay element being to wait for the monster in the sea to be far enough away, the rest is just "hold button down and switch brain off"), and kind of atrocious voice acting (oh, let's not forget the very basic writing). Since this seems to be another one of those "German gems" that EA somehow got a hold of (I imagine, because they got quite a bit of moolah through state sponsored programs, as it says so in the intro), it would have maybe worked to keep the obvious German voice actors speaking German, instead of forcing a bad English accent on them that makes them sound like villains. The story will be hit or miss, but I can guess where it's going: self doubts, self loathing, finding yourself again after a tragedy, the monster being your inner demon, the cityscape your fractured mind, full of memories, and the bad weather ... well, depression, dashed in with some hope here and there when the sun is shining and the bright spirits come to you. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but that's the idea I get. If you're looking for what is essentially a walking sim ... maybe play this through in an evening with friends or family. Alone it might just be too drab ... or hit too hard, depending on your state of mind. You can easily get it done within like 5 hours, I'd say, maybe 6 ... or a bit longer if you scour the maps for messages in bottles and seagulls to shoo away (yes, seriously, I have no metaphor for that). The worst thing, though, is the start-up when the game somehow seems to crash multiple times and only very slowly loads up at all. Then it crashes again when you want to quit. Everything else runs fine, though, so stick with it, and don't click like mad. It will eventually load, I guess. For 20 bucks, this is a steep price. The gameplay is as shallow as the waters, the story as dark as the hair on your character (the black sheep ... raven?), and the visuals as uninspired as you can get with a media grant, I guess. Nothing really sticks out. It isn't ugly per se, but also just not very interesting to look at, while you briskly try and get through the levels, instead of getting this feeling of WANTING to explore the world. Some 5/10 game imho. Grab it for a fiver like me if you really want to. Check it out and you can easily get a refund within the window. I was stupid enough to wait too long. Edit: I now realize I didn't have to "evaluate" the game's meaning, it's written plain as day on the Steam store page ... wow, nothing left to the imagination, eh? And, of course, you need an EA app account and the software, running simultaneously with Steam ... sucks.
It's a story about internal conflict and how perception can make us feel monstrous. Really great little game.
Tavsiye ederim.
Really nice game! Love the story.
