Great game.
I realy realy want to like this Game. It has some realy nice ideas goin, some interesting mechaniks - or rather the basics for some, concepts for some. The storytelling also doesnt take itself to serious, which is quite refreshing. BUT.... even though i got into it quite late in its Early Access Period - it still feels very much like it shouldnt even be close to the EarlyAccess finish line. Performance is poor compared to other Titles in the Genre, Titles that have been earlyer in production, Titles that have been done by much smaller studios aswell. Combat is... a chore. literaly. Again - combat itself also has some nice ideas goin, but none are implemented in a convinient or even sophisticated way, just like performance in general, here too sadly is everything clunky, slow paced (which wouldnt generally be an issue, if it was MEANT to be slow paced, but its not conceptually slow, its just very poorly implemented) Building in generall is alright, its not as sophisticated as some other Games within the Genre, but it doesnt have to hide either. whats there enables you to do some very cool builds indeed - if it wouldnt also impact performance so heavyly. Questing is... well its there. and AGAIN does it have some nice ideas goin, but AGAIN are the so poorly implemented that you cant do anything but feel dissapointed instead of beein able to engage with the fun parts, because the bad parts sadly cannot be outweight by its few positives. Map size was medium at best, which is again sad since the style of the different biomes itself doesnt have to hide itself from other Variants in the Genre, the world itself realy has some awesome styles and colourfull vibes to offer... but it doesnt feel good if you cant apprechiate it long enough and are instead constantly reminded that its one of the very very few positives you can find in this. Additionally theres those constant sound issues, where the game simply begins to deliver crackling sounds over the music, effects, everything in general, and the only way to solve it is to simply deactivate all sounds for a moment to then reactivate em all again. And no, thats not a System or low end pc issue, its a well known issue within the playerbase since quite some time, and hasnt been properly adressed ever. I realy want to like this game, realy realy do. And i hope the developers can pull of some sort of miracle with their upcomming updates for this game, then it could very well be a gem within the survival crafter genre. But as of right now? Dont buy it. its sadly not even worth its Early Access reduced Price.

so fun!
Fun game for a few days. Not much content. End game has zero content. What you do early game is what you will be doing late game, for the most part, beside some dungeon bosses late game. The upgrade system, the reason to do the bosses, is not even in place yet.
boring
I like the game. The quests are a bit unintuitive as for my liking, but overall it is fun and engaging.
I gave this a good, honest try. This is kind of an early access review. There's a lot I like, but there's also a decent amount that's oddly annoying. I don't like the gatekeeping of achievements when you adjust a world to fit how you like to play. Any change at all — even something like enabling death from hunger or thirst right off the bat to make the game harder — labels the world as "custom," and boom, achievements are blocked. For now this is a no for me.
Randy Bobandy, why you so sandy?
Yeah its a banger, and addicting. Game is pretty much a Valheim clone, with the Runescape IP wrapped around it. The game does feel like a "missed" opportunity at times and makes me want this Runescape in an MMO. There are also some design decisions that are questionable that make it feel devoid of identity. (Runecrafting/magic UI) Regardless, the core concepts are great, and the art direction enhances the cozy feel of this game. Very nice dopamine loops :opepe:
Really liked this game, but for some reason recently they changed the controller scheme and made it so much worse with no way of switching back. You used to be able to use the left and right dpad to switch between items and hit up to select them. Now it's a terrible radial menu having you hold left-bumper. I was frustrated enough after having played for nearly 100 hours that I'm just going to find a new game to play. Sad. It's probably fine if you're used to keyboards, but I was playing on a couch with a controller and just don't want to anymore due to the change in controller scheme that's not able to be reverted.
