About

Detective Michael Stone arrives in the small town of Pineview to assist the local police force with a seemingly simple case - A couple is found dead in their kitchen. The locals believe it to be a case of murder-suicide, their speculation fueled by rumors of the turbulent nature of the couple's relationship.
Is it just small-town gossip, or is there some truth to the rumors?
Help Detective Stone, assisted by the driven and empathetic Amy Blunt, discover the truth behind Chris and Diane's story. But be warned: the further he pursues the case, the more his own past shall come back to haunt him. And the closer his sanity will be pushed to the edge.
Taking inspiration from works like Twin Peaks, Deadly Premonition, and Night in the Woods, Rainswept is a character-driven drama that balances tragedy and melancholy with humor and beauty to deliver a life-affirming, cathartic experience.
As Detective Stone, explore the beautiful town of Pineview, talk to the many locals, interview suspects, dig through the victims' pasts and try to piece together the story behind Chris and Diane's brutal deaths.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Finished! A decent murder mystery adventure, though a bit buggy (some problems with gamepad controls and blank notebook pages). Also, while there is no graphic violence, the game does feature some intense scenes and difficult topics. Be warned!
A short visual novel detective game featuring a very unique art style. The game ran well and I enjoyed the writing.
The story was moderately interesting and this is what kept me interest going to the end. But it was technically inept with poor production quality and several bugs. For instance, tasks menu could not be closed again unless you went to map first and once I got stuck and had to reload last save. To improve the experience, I think voice overs would have helped a lot.
I liked what I played so far! Looking forward to playing the full game.
Story driven strongly pre-written path of interactive, calm reminder of the hardship of every day life. With hidden anti gun message.
If you are accepting of a story dealing with heavy topics and don't mind a video game not having lots of gameplay mechanics then get this game immediately. If not, then maybe this is not for you. Personally, I had a great time with this game. The art at the beginning had me thinking that the game was going to be a little more playful but it turned out to have really heavy topics that were also handled well and carefully. I didn't even mind that 20 minutes in I realized I, the player, wasn't really going to be the one solving the mystery and that this was more of a visual novel and walking simulator hybrid. I just embraced it and enjoyed unfolding the story in my own pace. What I think made me really enjoy the experience was the many little subplots you can find in the town, most did not affect the story at all, but seeing how you can affect their little story and seeing how their story went throughout the days felt very cozy and felt like something that only a video game as a medium can do. I also did find some conversations and scenes to be a little on the melodramatic side, which I am personally not a fan of, but it wasn't enough to deter me from continuing. Also, the atmosphere of the art with the great music was really good, I kind of wished there was more of the music throughout the game honestly. Overall, really fun 6-hour story for those willing to experience it and don't mind the heavy topics they discuss about.
