To be completely honest with you, this game is not great. The game was glitchy, a lot of the items were phased into the seats, the final few items were straight up inside the floor and couldn't be seen without any abilities. I feel pity for someone trying to complete the game without skills on their first run. The AI covers for the books and video games is very disappointing too.
Instead of fixing, tweaking, or optimizing the previous release, the developer launched this 2nd game only a week later. The game feels noticeably worse than the first. Big objects fully block the camera view, and adjusting the field of view offers only minor improvement. Large products still obstruct most of the screen when looking down to pick up items. Skill mechanics remain entirely broken. Shelving stock allows skills to be spammed endlessly because abilities rely on inventory actions rather than proper cooldown timers. The entire campaign can be finished in under an hour simply by repeating skill activations, and the rapid progression makes the 6 hours completion challenge far too easy.
I'm not leaving this negative review because of the use of AI. I'm leaving it because the devs did not disclose that information on the store page. While I understand that it is impossible to prevent the usage of AI, personally I don't want to support a game that uses it because I find the usage of it at its current level unethical. By not disclosing that information, the devs robbed me of that choice. It took me a painfully long time to realize, and with AI getting better at generating images as time goes on, it gets harder to tell. So deceptive devs have an easier time pushing AI slop out to the public, to other users who also might not want to support it. The least a dev can do is have some integrity on informing users of their product in full to let them make an informed choice. I'll be using this experience as a lesson to research more about a product before a potential purchase, but it sucks that I have to be even more wary about what games I buy because of dishonest developers. Actual shame on the devs, do better.
Just pure slop. Quickly through together becasue these games are popularer right now. DONT BUY. Trash compared to the others. Lots of broken things in such a basic game.
MASSIVE amounts of AI. It is extremely obvious especially on the book/magazine covers. Don't waste your money on this game. Gameplay was fine but there were multiple bugs in it as well like hovering objects and being unable to pick up items randomly.
Game contains undisclosed AI assets/content
Low effort and has undisclosed generative AI assets. I liked a couple things about it, like the skills recharging with placed items rather than time is a nice change, but the undisclosed GenAI makes this a big nopety nope for me. The sheer number of lighters and cigarette packs you need to collect for the tobacco shop was also a bit icky and annoying. The lighters are tiny and if you try to play without abilities, that will be a pain. The sunglasses are also quite hard to see at times. The item grids are fine for some things, others are completely ridiculous. It's playable, I didn't hate my time with it but I wish I hadn't waited until the end to look more closely at the books and magazines so I could have refunded it. Now, it's technically possible that the devs didn't know about AI in the asset packs, but then they need to disclose it or change them now that multiple people have noticed and reported the issue.
Straight up rip of Librarian Tidy Up Academy. Doesn't even try to hide it. Skills in the game do not function (literally), they were ripped from Librarian then the mechanic they affect were removed from the game.
