Pumpkin Jack

This is a hilarious game. You can tell in seconds of playing how well made this is. The controls are smooth, the environment is beautiful with the colors and shading, and the weapons are cool. And it's funny, the gramophone dance has me cracking up. Super fun.

Una historia simple, pero muy disfrutable. Me recordó mucho a MediEvil y Crash Bandicoot tanto por su jugabilidad como por su apartado artístico. Lo recomiendo muchísimo; es un juego ideal para disfrutar durante las noches previas a Halloween. ¡Jueguito platinado! 🏅

I love a good haunted Halloween like atmosphere in stuff and this does it really well! Set in a medieval times you are a soul working for the devil names Jack in a pumpkin head and dead body, your aim? Stop the hero! It's funny, it plays decently well, it's maybe a little too easy although the last boss was great, decently difficult to beat and epic, it's a fun time and looks to be done by a small team at most which is frankly darn impressive dood! Okay the maximum review time! So Pumpkin Jack as I stated before is a soul from hell sent to super murder humanities hero trying to end the devils curse, it's a simple action platformer with some fun minigames themed to each stage which is a real nice touch, especially considering they were simple, ya couldn't really lose any of them and decently quick as I personally feel all "mini"games should be dood. You can jump, dodge roll, eventually attack in two ways and that's it! Like I said a simple game, there are a few ways to vary your attacks granted based on one of a few sets of weapons you have equipped and such to defeat the fair array of enemies you will face in the game and bosses play out more like a fun puzzle of their own rather than just a straight trading blows kind of deal which is always a fun change dood. The writing was fun and silly enough that I honestly wish more than the narrator was voiced, especially during more intense on screen moments where you couldn't really afford to take your eyes off screen unless you like seeing one of the I assume many death quotes in the game with the built in death counter, I died 3 times, twice falling, one misunderstanding a puzzle clue XD of course again small team, low budget, would be a bit much to ask for a full cast of VA's dood. There are costumes to buy using collectable currency, they are all fun looks X3 no in game effect though, the music was a real fun part of the game, particularly during certain mini game moments that super added to them, whoever worked on the music did such a great job like that dood. The stages all look nice, granted the colour palette was very samey for the most part but that fitted the theme so it was totally fine, they were fun to run through but I admit the finicky jumping was giving me mini heart attacks, you have a double jump but you're so weirdly floaty and filled with enough momentum, don't be surprised if you fall to your death more than even I did XD but ignoring that they were a decent length with fun bosses at the end to fight each time dood. That's the end folks! It was a great time for what it was, you won't find it an in depth combat game but what it does it does well and it's got a nice amount of entertainment factor to it, I'd love to see the dev/s do more games if they haven't already, it's all up from here I say dood. Obrigado dev por este game. Como foi gostoso zerar. Aquela vibe Crash Bandicoot do ps1 que eu sentia toda vez que jogava nas lanhouse's e não conseguia salvar o jogo kkkk. Ótimo jogo, com certeza vai ficar na memória. Engraçado na medida certa, e sem dificuldade abissal. Só sentar, jogar, eventualmente morrer por vacilo, e retomar, sem perder muito tempo. Jogo que pra criança (8-10) anos potencialmente viraria o jogo da infância. Fico imaginando eu mais novo jogando esse jogo. A Steam poderia criar uma classificação indicativa para marcar jogos como esse acessíveis à crianças. Jogo offline, dificuldade nada demais, etc. Eu como pai adoraria criar uma biblioteca específica para minha filha com segurança.
