Stranded in the frozen wilderness, survivors must gather resources, repair objectives, and fight the elements to escape. But hidden among them are traitors working together to sabotage, mislead, and eliminate their so-called allies.

For seasoned players, the punishing Classic mode remains - demanding coordination, grit, and sharp instincts to survive.
No two matches are ever the same. Whether you’re chopping firewood with allies, whispering over secret radios as a traitor, or panicking when a sudden blizzard forces everyone together, the tension builds with every decision.
Survivor
As a survivor you will have to complete a series of objectives in order to call in one of several rescue vehicles and escape to win the game.
Repair all the objectives to restore the cabin radio to working order.
Break rocks, harvest berries and herbs, and cut down trees to earn crafting materials used to repair objectives, and help keep you alive.
Explore crates found in the buildings scattered throughout the map which contain items that will help you survive and complete your objectives.
Traitor
As a traitor your goal is to stop the survivors from escaping without being identified or killed.
All of your teammates will be revealed to you at the start of the match and can be identified by a red traitor symbol, much like yours. You will start with a red radio to communicate with your fellow traitor.
Use traitor crates and hatches scattered throughout the map to gain advantage against survivors.
Teamwork & Survival: Survivors can’t make it alone. Work together to endure the cold, complete objectives, and fend off wildlife.
Betrayal & Deception: Traitors blend in, gain trust, and then strike when the moment is right. Anyone could be the enemy!
Communication: Proximity voice, radio channels, text chat, and emotes keep every interaction charged with suspicion.
Multiple Modes: Choose between streamlined Cabin Fever, unforgiving Classic, or customize your own rules for the perfect dose of paranoia.
Cosmetics & Progression: Unlock stylish looks and personalize your character with cosmetics available in our in-game store, progression trees, or in-game drops.

I remember this game was good a few years ago, and now when I hop back on, lobbies are dead, there were at least 2 - 4 servers. So if you get this game, make sure to have a few mates to play with, so its worth it.

The mobile app was understandably removed from iOS and from Android stores. Hopefully Steam will be soon. This mobile app is a frankly badly made ripoff of games like Mafia and Among Us, except worse. There's more focus (and requirement) for the "good guys" to do all the various jobs, which is not a problem the baddies have... the game is firmly tilted towards the antagonists, and this balance problem is one of the main factors that lead to the game having a pitiful population and very few available servers and opportunities to play. [i]It's very likely that if you buy this spyware riddled mobile app, you won't get a server to play on.[/i] From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The mobile app features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the mobile app, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the mobile app was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The mobile app is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement. This agreement includes questionable (and possibly law breaching) privacy requirements that no gamer should ever have to engage in. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. Following that, and as mentioned, this mobile app behaves as spyware and collects "telemetry" and personally identifying information. There is no apparent way to prevent this hostile and sinister privacy invasion. The developers will make the unverifiable claim that this data isn't personally identifying, of course that's BS as they're collecting IPs and all kinds of other information about gamers, when combined with other profiling data this can 100% identify an individual. They say it's for "QA" purposes but there's no guarantee they're not profiling you or selling your data to third parties as they spy on you. Should you trust them? Of course not... if they had any concerns about user safety and privacy, [i]they wouldn't have built spyware into their mobile app with no way to disable it![/i] There's simply no reason to trust them and gamers should avoid this mobile app because of this unacceptable privacy invasion. So, should you buy this mobile app? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Project Winter has the pathetically optimistic price of around $10 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this mobile app could get you games that won't spy on you, like "Bioshock Infinite", "Lethal Company" or "Dishonored 2". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.

The only way to play it is to go to European/Asian or Russian servers in the evening, and then there will be 2-3 lobbies where people sit in Discord and kick you with their feet, the worst purchase in steam
