Prodeus is a first-person shooter of old, re-imagined using modern rendering techniques and technology. Experience the quality you’d expect from a modern AAA game, designed with retro aesthetics and gameplay that invoke the tech-imposed limits of older hardware.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

NICE
Do I recommend this game? For what I wanted, definitely not. For what it is, not at $25, but sure. Ever since Epic decided to pretend Unreal Tournament never existed and scoop up that Fortnite cash, I've been looking for a replacement to play with a friend. There's some sort of misconception that there's no audience for that type of game, when the reality is developers just keep utterly failing to create a product that actually satisfies that market. Prodeus got close. I'm not sure how, but through a crappy online search or misreading something, I was under the distinct impression this game had bots for multiplayer. The two things an Unreal Tournament replacement really needs are good bots AND a level editor. It's the only way this type of game can have any sort of community and attempt the longevity UT had. An audience so dedicated there were active communities still playing the latest one a decade after it was abandoned while still in alpha. So, Prodeus is a massive disappointment in my search. I can't add bots to custom multiplayer games and invite my friends. It has a very limited shelf life, even with the excellent addition of a map editor. That said, as a single-player game, it's really fun. The style is great. The combat is great. Everything is snappy and responsive (gameplay wise, the in-game map is kind of annoying). I definitely don't think it's worth $25. At a solid discount, I'm not that upset with my purchase, and I think it's a good fit for a certain audience. If you're one of the supposedly rare gamers looking for what I'm looking for. This will leave you bummed. If you want a good single player campaign, or prefer playing online with strangers (sounds toxic, but to each their own), this might be a good fit. That's a lot of caveats, so I feel the most fair answer is, "No, I don't recommend this game at this price."

Prodeus Review TLDR: Prodeus is a fantastic FPS, with its voxel graphics giving it a 90’s visual style but has modern touches such as dynamics lighting, location-based dismemberment and great shooting. This is an easy recommended if you’re after a fast-paced enjoyable FPS, that doesn’t bog you down with heavy story elements or prolonged cut-scenes and just throws you into the action from start to finish. Prodeus doesn’t really have much going for it story wise. You are a corrupted agent of Prodeus, a god like being that has created the world you’re in and everything in it (including yourself). Your goal is to kill Prodeus and anything that stands in your way. A overly simple story may seem like a negative, but for a game like Prodeus, it’s a great benefit. The game isn’t here to tell an over-arching overly dramatic story, full of twists, grand reveals or thought-provoking question. Like it’s 90’s inspirations such as Doom, it’s just an excuse to have you running around and shooting anything that moves! Prodeus has 28 levels in total, split-up by an overview map that you navigate from a top-down view. Beating a level will unlock the path(s) beyond it. In some instances, the paths branch, allowing you to tackle levels in any order or to bypass some levels altogether. While the goals of the levels are simple, find the exit and kill anything that gets in your way, the level design is anything but simple. The earlier levels aren’t too complicated to navigate but later levels have clever loops, bringing you back to an earlier point in the level after collecting a key you need to progress. Some have clever secrets hidden away, rewarding those that have a keen eye for tucked away passages or explore the area more thoroughly. The visuals of the levels change as you progress. From a lava ridden world, through to ice, in space and finally an alien world. Each area bringing just enough to keep things interesting for both game-play, set pieces and visuals. After completing a level, you are given a score and rank depending on the % of kills, secrets found, how many times you dies and the time you completed it in. Similar to Doom scorecard at the end of each level. The movement and shooting are slick, responsive and so much fun. Enemies are clearly designed so they can be identified with either a quick glance or from far away. Feedback from hitting enemies and being hit clearly indicates what is going on and the movement and shooting just feels great and is so much fun. You do unlock the ability to dash and double jump as you progress, adding to the movement options for both navigating the levels and engaging with enemies. The enemies themselves start off simple with new types being introduced as you progress and well as being mixed to prevent the game from becoming stale. And without giving too much away, there is a quite of a lot of in fighting later in the game. But due to the enemy designs, it’s very clear to see who is on which side. Platforming is kept to a minimum but even then, the movement of your character and the design means it isn’t frustrating as you don't need to make pin-point precision jumps to progress. It's enough to break up heavy bouts of fighting without it overstaying it's welcome. There are 12 weapons available in total, all of which have an alt fire. The majority of these are standard FPS guns. Such as machine gun, shotguns (you get 3 types of shotguns) and minigun. But also, weapons such as Plasma gun, rail gun and grenade launcher. Most of these are found as you play but others can only be purchased from shops scattered around the level with currently that is found as you play. The weapons are sorted into groups depending on the ammo type they use, so the handgun, machine gun and mini gun share 1 slot, the 2 shotguns the 2nd slot, etc. Weapon selection can be done with by pressing the corresponding numbered button, multiple times to select different weapon in that category or by a radial menu, which pauses the game. Giving you plenty of time to switch weapons, even in the middle of a fire fight. Each weapon has it's own use depending on the situation and while you probably won't use some of the start weapons near the end, the diversity means you'll find a set of weapons you like to play through the game with. Finally the game is well optimized. I never once had any stuttering or slow-down while playing. I never had any freezes or crashes and never encountered any bugs or problems that required a restart. Summary: Prodeus is the most fun I’ve had with a modern FPS in a long time. The introduction of new weapons, environments and enemies is done at a great pace. Keeping things interesting without overloading you. The levels are well crafted and there are plenty of reasons to go back and replay them again. Either to get the maximum rating for that level, find all the secrets or collect any hidden currency you might have missed to buy upgrades or new weapons. I didn’t have any issues replying levels to max out my score and even after I finished playing all the 28 levels, I wanted there to be more (but will have to wait for the expansion for that!). Whether you’re after a modern take on the 90’s classic or just looking for an enjoyable FPS without heavy story elements forcing their way in, Prodeus is an easy recommend.

A decent boomer shooter with very good level design with one fatal flaw. Dying doesn't mean anything. Once you activate a checkpoint, everytime you die you just spawn with max health and all enemies stay dead. So you can abuse the system by dying over and over again. The only penalty being the score (which no one cares). They never listened to the feedback until it was too late and way past the developpment cycle of the game. They promised in 2023 that a more traditional checkpooint/save system would be implented with an upcoming DLC. Still nothing. Apparently there's only one dev working on it now. If he is still working on it. WHAT A WASTE...
Prodeus est sans aucun doute l'un des meilleurs jeux de tir à la première personne auxquels j'ai jamais joué, et offre une expérience de jeu exceptionnelle. Il remplit parfaitement son rôle !
gunplay feels nice, enemies are unique, i liked the opening scene where part of the ship basically gets eradicated from existence, the game doesn't run that great on my laptop, so i'll be coming back to this when i get a better pc in the future.
норм. но вторично. и движок нужен нормальный этой игре а не унити
