Walking simulator. Explore, admire and listen. Uncanny. Relaxing. Unnerving. Eerie. Immersive. No monsters chasing you or jumping at your screen, but can feel oppressive at times by invoking fears of getting lost, the dark, tight spaces and liminal space architecture. Inspired by backrooms.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Aug 22 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

pool
this game is pretty stripped down even by walking simulator standards. there's no characters or dialogue or narrative apart from exploring the poolrooms. it works phenomenally. POOLS builds tension through the sheer oddness of its level design and visual style. i was already pretty familiar with poolrooms via youtube but it didn't prepare me for how playing this game would feel. i find the main difference between backrooms and poolrooms (besides all the water) is that poolrooms feels like someone built it deliberately, which raises the question of, y'know, WHY? this idea of an unseen, malevolent architect seems more and more real as the game goes on. i felt like a couple of the later sections felt too much like a normal horror game, but i think the developers are allowed to indulge. it didn't make the impact any less huge. highly recommended especially if you, like me, saw the backrooms movie recently and were utterly confused by the glut of competing backrooms games when you went to look.

très bon jeux, ambiance parfaite et piscine a gogo le labyrinthe vous fait perdre la tête les différents lieux sont angoissent et pas de monstre qui te coure après, j'ai fini le jeux je vous le recommande vivement.
Surreal but comfortable, this made for a nice liminal stroll.
magical. absolutely incredible journey one walks, swims, slides and climbs through. riveting. i was rapt. want to continue the reverie forever. both stimulating and relaxing. eerie, beautiful, intricate, impeccable physics and creativity. this one's going to stay with me.
太喜欢,可我是路痴啊……
Если все сны были как эта игра - я бы не просыпалась.
9/10 For anyone that is a fan of the backrooms, specifically the Poolrooms, this is it. This is the definitive Poolrooms experience. It has many different levels that are thoughtfully detailed and fascinating to witness. It is a bit linear at times, but still cool. The only gripe I have is that it does take some tinkering to make it run smoothly, but overall I had a great time exploring such a detailed version of the Poolrooms. Bonus points if you take and edible beforehand.
