Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 26 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ALIENS COMERAM A MINHA...

Keeping the 90s localized names is silly IMHO. Even if you don't want to call it Kiki Kaikai why not something like Mystery World or something? IDK, I'm not a translator, but the way it is now is just... That said, it's a good game.
Never realized just how few top-down shooters I have played till playing this to completion. I wasn't sure if there was another in the genre that I had beaten and that I really didn't like forward locked directional aiming. The respawn rate and angles of attacks made my first run feel stuff and frustrating at times. The 1up system made my 1st run even more frustrating. I hate that score has nothing to do with lives and instead they are invisible, requiring meele attacks to find. There are others you can aquire in shops provided you have enough or the right amount of coins. All of this I learned from YouTube after my first run and it made my second much more manageable. Pocky and Rocky seems like a fine game, but it's not for me. I got my fill of it after getting a 1CC. I do think this is another beautiful, solid output from Tengo Project. Straddling the line between remake and outright sequal as this has both reimagined stages and wholly new ones. It also has new playable characters and a few extened gameplay mechanics for the whole cast. It has a few quarks such as locking 2P co-op behind a first clear of the story mode. It's not the worst thing they've done. I also would like a stage select it would be useful for learning the game if I ever wanted to maximize a playthrough. None of my above issues would be cause for me to warn others off this game, on sale. It's base price is rather high for this game, especially compared to their other releases like say Ninja Saviours, which remains my favorite of their output. Even though no one asked for it, here is my Tengo Project Ranking: -The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors -Shadow of the Ninja: Reborn -Wild Guns: Reloaded -Pocky & Rocky: Reshrined

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined is a fantastic revival of a beloved classic, and a true showcase of the talent behind Tengo Project. The art direction is immediately striking — lush, colorful pixel work that feels both nostalgic and refreshed, beautifully capturing the spirit of the original 16-bit era while making it shine on modern systems. The game’s visuals, characters, and enemies draw deeply from Japanese folklore and shrine maiden themes, giving every stage a distinct personality and cultural flair. Gameplay is tight and engaging, with playful yet challenging run-and-gun action that stays true to the classic formula while feeling smooth and polished. And knowing that a team of original developers — the core of Tengo Project — led this project gives it an extra layer of authenticity and care that fans of retro shooters will really appreciate. In short, Reshrined is a loving tribute to its roots and a must-play for anyone who values art direction, folkloric charm, and timeless gameplay.
Pocky & Rocky Reshrined is a remarkable revival of a cherished arcade classic that demonstrates how a retro-inspired game can remain faithful to its origins while embracing modern refinements. Developed and published by Winning Entertainment Group Inc., the title serves as both a continuation and celebration of the long-running series, rebuilding the original experience with enhanced visuals, expanded content, and smoother gameplay. Rather than relying solely on nostalgia, it introduces meaningful improvements that make the adventure welcoming for newcomers while preserving the demanding action that longtime fans expect. The result is a polished shooter that captures the excitement of classic gaming without feeling outdated. The gameplay revolves around fast-paced, top-down action where players guide shrine maiden Pocky and her loyal tanuki companion Rocky through stages filled with supernatural creatures inspired by Japanese mythology. Success depends on mastering movement, carefully dodging enemy attacks, and striking back with a combination of ranged projectiles and close-range abilities. Every level introduces fresh enemy types, environmental hazards, and creative boss encounters that require both quick reflexes and strategic thinking. The controls are highly responsive, allowing players to weave through intense projectile patterns while maintaining a satisfying sense of precision. Although the difficulty can be demanding, every defeat encourages players to improve their timing and learn enemy behavior, creating an experience that rewards skill and perseverance. One of the game's greatest achievements is its presentation. The beautifully crafted pixel art pays tribute to the 16-bit era while benefiting from modern animation techniques and far greater visual detail. Characters display expressive movements, enemies are full of personality, and the colorful environments remain lively from beginning to end. Bosses are especially memorable, featuring elaborate designs and spectacular attack patterns that make each major encounter feel unique. Complementing the visuals is an energetic soundtrack that blends traditional Japanese musical influences with upbeat action themes, creating an atmosphere that perfectly matches the game's folklore-inspired world. Together, the art direction and audio create a charming identity that feels timeless rather than merely nostalgic. Replay value is another area where Pocky & Rocky Reshrined excels. Beyond the main story, players can unlock additional modes, choose from multiple playable characters with distinct abilities, and enjoy local cooperative multiplayer for shared adventures. These features encourage experimentation, as different characters offer noticeably different approaches to combat. The inclusion of an easier difficulty option also helps broaden the game's appeal, allowing less experienced players to enjoy the journey while still leaving the standard challenge intact for veterans seeking the classic arcade experience. This balance between accessibility and challenge makes the game far more inviting than many traditional retro action titles. Despite its strengths, the game remains true to its arcade roots, meaning its relatively short campaign and high level of challenge may not satisfy players looking for a lengthy or more forgiving adventure. However, the design intentionally emphasizes replayability, score improvement, and mastering each encounter rather than simply extending playtime. Returning to stages with newly unlocked characters or aiming for cleaner runs provides lasting enjoyment that goes beyond a single completion. Every revisit reveals new strategies and a greater appreciation for the carefully crafted enemy patterns and level design. Pocky & Rocky Reshrined succeeds because it respects the legacy of the original while confidently standing as a modern release in its own right. Its responsive gameplay, outstanding pixel art, memorable soundtrack, varied roster of playable characters, and rewarding difficulty combine to create an action game that remains engaging from start to finish. Whether experienced as a nostalgic return or a first introduction to the franchise, it delivers an entertaining and refined adventure that demonstrates why classic arcade shooters continue to have lasting appeal. Rating: 8/10
Really good game, but also really tough (for me). Absolutely needs easy mode accessible from the start.
