Pocky & Rocky Reshrined

A pretty top-down shooter with no strafing. 1CC require some focus and effort, but it is not overwhelmingly difficult or grueling. A good time.

This is a weird one. The graphic is really good, the music is too. But there is something in the control which makes it hard to stop in a diagonal direction, at least on the d-pad. Using the analogue stick feels wrong in a game where you can only shoot in 8 directions. [b]To top it off, it is bone hard.[/b] The first level was rather easy to pass but... level 2 feels much to hard compared to level 1. I am not a bad player but I tried it a good five times and I didn't manage to pass it. [b]So I'd like to warn people about the difficulty. Don't get this if you are squeamish about harder games.[/b] That said I still enjoy to play it enough to give a thumbs up.

Très bon jeu malgré des choix de game design douteux. Pas sûr du move concernant le lock de la coop et du mode facile, sachant que toute la promo met l'accent sur la coopération 🤪 Il existe heureusement un cheat code pour débloquer directement la coop sans avoir à finir le mode histoire. Mais si on ne va pas chercher, on ne le sait pas. Côtê prix c'est assez cher si on ne compte le finir qu'une fois. Par contre, les succès demanderont quelques heures en plus et un réel apprentissage du jeu, ce qui rattrape le coup de mon côté. Niveau difficulté, je ne saurais le comparer aux épisodes SNES car je ne les ai pas encore finis, mais de ce que j'ai fait du premier, celui-ci paraît au moins un peu plus simple. En tout cas, je n'ai pas eu de grosse difficulté, même en mode difficile (merci les checkpoints). Bref clairement fait pour les fadas de rétro. Le jeu est d'ailleurs vraiment très beau, avec un pixel art super soigné.

Wow! What a fantastic game! It may start slow, but once you make it click, oh boy, what a joy it is!

A definite purchase if you like the shootem-up Bullet Hell Genre. Music and gameplay is solid. Takes skill to beat the levels and doesn't hold ya hand which is so nice to see in 2025 where everything babysits you. It's focussed on gameplay and no boring drawn out cutscenes or stories. Straight into the action. The world needs more of this!!!
