Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 9 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

My initial impressions: Outside of some slowdown on the title screen, I haven't really noticed that many issues with the emulation of this game, and there's seemingly some work that has been done on combating interlacing (RetroArch for example has a lot of combing artifacts when running this game under Beetle Saturn). There's some nifty screen options, such as anti-aliasing to combat the screen dithering effects used, and a mild scanline effect (Even if I personally would prefer something like a CRT Lottes shader) that I didn't notice on the character select screen, but is noticeable in-game. The slow mode toggle is a neat addition, even if it makes the tea-time sections more difficult. Mixed with achievement support, and button based remapping (Which is probably the most you are going to get out of a game running through emulation), this is not a bad way of playing the game so far (I've heard that the input lag issue with the Switch version was fixed, and I have nothing to report here). The only thing I can say is that the resolution options are hardcoded (Ideally, a list of available resolutions to the display should be grabbed instead), which means that fullscreen mode at most is 1920x1080, which results in everything being blurry on a 1440p or even 4K display. This seems like something that could be resolved rather easily, since Unity is being used as a wrapper, similarly to a lot of rereleases of old games (I.E: Doom, Shin Megami Tensei III, Katamari Demacy Reroll, etc). One thing I can definitely say is that if you have photosensitivity issues in regards to migraines/eyestrain/seizures from flashing lights (especially colored ones), I'd suggest to steer clear or at the very minimum play with the slow motion mode and use ReShade with the screen contrast/brightness lowered. The flashing lights are already distracting enough on the title screen or character select menu, but there's even more of them during actual gameplay. The upside is that the game does come with a .BIN and .CUE file which you can use through other emulators, so you could use RetroArch (alongside the ROM from your legally purchased game) alongside the AntiFlicker shader to at least make some rapidly flashing effects that use luminance have true transparency. It would be nice to see more games offer similar quality of life improvements to what Nintendo has done to make the games on the NES/SNES classic more accessible by lowering the speed and intensity of these kinds of effects. Would have been nice to see a similar mode here as an accessibility option. They're technically already probably doing something on the lines of real-time memory editing for stuff like injecting achievement support, so I can't imagine it would be overly difficult to do something similar here. It would also be nice if the Controls slide that shows up every time you start the game was only applicable for the first time running the game (as it does take a bit of time to skip). TLDR: It's an okay re-release, but lacks some quality of life improvements (Such as accessibility options for those who can't play games with rapidly flashing lights), and has some annoyances that are bound to cause issues with those playing on TVs or higher resolution monitors. EDIT: I stand corrected, the ROM that comes with the Steam release does NOT work inside of other emulators. The ROM of the game is a few megabytes smaller compared to a bog-standard dump of the Saturn release.

Do not waste your money on this abysmal port. It's honestly insulting that they're charging this much for such a bad port. The sound issues are being downplayed, the game is completely unplayable unless you want your eardrums to explode from all the static and crackling. The game itself is fun but not worth the price. Just get Deathsmiles or literally...... any other SHMUP.
Переиздание классического Cute 'em Up`a(леталки-стрелялки по-нашему) Cotton Boomerang трудно кому-нибудь рекомендовать.
The game runs well enough, obscene and unacceptable input lag aside. What really pushes this over the edge is the audio emulation, which is absolutely horrendous. Avoid.
This is actually a remixed version of Cotton 2 with some additional content. Originally running on ST-V, this is an excellently presented arcade game. I can't quite call it a classic, but it comes close if you are from that era. This port has decent features, easy achievements, online leaderboards, several difficulty options and the ability to rewind/save progress. There are some technical issues with the port, some slowdown can occur - and you will have to disable the sprite smoothing filter. Still a thumbs up from me, the Saturn Tribute series is criminally overlooked on Steam!
The same review was posted on the "Cotton 2 - Saturn tribute" game (as it suffers from the exact same issues) ----- This is a bad PC release. Basically this is just the Japanese Sega Saturn rom built in with a proprietary emulator. I mean this is not bad per se, I would rather have more old game legally accessible this way than not having them. The problem is when you encrypt the rom itself, preventing the pc gamers to mod it in any way and denying the possibility to play it legally on our Sega Saturns, not sure what is the problem of the company with that. Maybe they want to limit their own proprietary emulator to play this rom? Anyway there are much better ways to handle that (like checking what rom is actually being loaded) and even this is stupid because there are much better performing Sega Saturn emulators freely available on the pc if anyone would have the idea of playing other roms on it. Sega themselves release the roms not encrypted in the mega drive collection. With a release like this I don't recommend it, unless you really want to play this game legally and cheap (and have a decent performing pc). Otherwise just buy an used Sega Saturn copy you will be better served and you will have less headaches (the game is likely to play better as well as the current emulator is good but not perfect). Review updates: 2024-11-03 I will not update this review again, as apparently the developer or someone from the company (nanitarou?) is not willing to do fix any of my criticisms and even complained to me for posting this negative review on the discussion / forums ("This WILL have the input lag fixed" thread on the Cotton 2 saturn tribute game). Terrible experience and waste of my time. 2023-10-06 I removed the performance issues that I previously mentioned, even though I didn't give negative feedback because of that (as I am using a older machine theoretically not supported, i7-3610QM), as after I have cleaned my laptop and changed the thermal paste the game is now running much more smoother, well at least as long as vsync is disabled (for some reason this makes the game unplayable). So not sure if it was only my laptop that needed a cleanup or if there has been any update meanwhile that improved the performance as well. The sound also seems much better now, though still not 100% perfect.
