About
Planetbase is a strategy game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost on a remote planet.
In the game you play the role of the base architect and manager, telling your colonists where to build the structures they will need to survive. You will have to ensure that they have a constant supply of oxygen, food and water to stay alive.
You will get them to collect energy, extract water, mine metal, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient base in a harsh environment, where you are always one step away from total failure.
Even if the game is not intended to be a simulator, all the mechanics are plausible, and based on what the expected challenges of establishing a colony in an new planet would be.
Four different planets with different conditions and increasing difficulty.

Harness solar and wind energy (if available) in order to power the base's structures.
Grow hydroponic Vegetables and synthesize Vitromeat to feed your population.
Mine and produce raw resources, process them, manufacture goods, and establish a production chain.
Carefully manage the colonist immigration flow to ensure you have the people with the right skills.

Survive disasters like meteors, sandstorms or solar flares and defend your base from intruders.
Mechanize your base by creating your own bots that will help with the more arduous tasks.
Grow your colony from a few initial pioneers to a vibrant planetbase with hundreds of colonists.

I like the concept and I was able to get the first mission/level to work to a degree, but after a while the priority chains for the workers seemed to become completely broken without warning or alarm. I had a litany of hungry workers seemingly refuse(?) to unload meals I could afford to trade from a trade ship. Too many games on Steam are unpolished or just seem broken - tally another one.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you're looking for a realistic sim that allows for micromanagement (like Rimworld, Factorio, Cities: Skylines, OpenTDD and others), you're at the wrong place. I really want to like this game but there are too many things that in their sum make it terribly unfun. It seems like the dev started adding mechanics that would have given the game alot of depth (e.g. meal making, diet, decoration) but didn't follow through with most of them. So the whole experience feels incomplete and unpolished. Here are just a few: - possibility to decorate is extremely limited to a few base modules (bar and canteen) - cannot pause production of hydroponic pods, you have to deconstruct them entirely - you cannot upgrade a small habitat to larger habitat - the game does not let you deconstruct a habitat/base module and errecting another habitat/base module of the same size at the same spot, essentially preventing you from using the little space you have effectively and ruining your original base plans - you cannot reassign the profession of a colonist after they arrived in your colony - when constructing habitats and connections, colonists can get stuck in isolated pockets that may form and die there, without deconstructing the entire habitat again - the UI seems crude and basic, much like the game's mechanics The dev can keep my money to help with the second game 👍
entretenido, lógico algo desafiante a la razón,
Perfect! Very good game I like it!
muy bueno
I really liked this more than I expected.
This game might look at first glance like a colony sim survival strategy game, however piaying the tutorial will quickly reval how much that is not quite the case. While it has many of the sytems and ambitions of the aformentioned style of game, it practically requires buildings be built in the same specific repetitive order and failure to do so within a very short timeframe will end your run. Even after your base is self sufficent the game's many survial space base system such as npc queueing for food and cruitial task stations will get in your way as colonists starve beside a vending machine waiting the a colonist on the other side of the base who happened to queue first to collect their food first. I really enjoy the style of game they are aiming for but for me personally this title falls flat of those ambitions in 2026 when I played the game. If you like a fixed order puzzle game you might enjoy this game, but I will not recommend it as it looks more like a survival colony sim game which it falls slightly short of for me
Relaxing, fun game.
La supériorité d'un design simple. Ce jeu est un digne descendant de Banished très bien servis par son thème science-fiction.
