Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Lovingly crafted in the style of the golden era dungeon crawlers (Diablo, Path of Exile, Dungeon Siege) Deep mechanics and a highly diversifiable class and weapon style system makes this a fun experience for experienced players, but the great story, intricate world-building and beautiful visuals paired with a beautiful soundtrack makes this an unforgettable experience for casual players too with 5 difficulty settings to choose from. Play a lone hero, or a party up to five, with well-written companions. I´m playing on the hardest difficulty (Path of the Damned) which may include some frustrating moments - but it challenges me to dive deeper into the mechanics. Highly rewarding!
The game is fantastic. The world of Eora is complex and intriguing, the characters are complex and the dialogue is finger licking good. Its obvious from the start that the game was designed ground up with RTWP in mind, because it doesnt try to force a turn based system into RTWP as many of the classic CRPGs do, no shade to those. I give the combat system my highest praise as someone who thought they hated RTWP mostly due to Baldurs Gate 1 and the Pathfinder video games. I played the entire game on the Steamdeck and with some quick key rebinding, the game posed no problems at all, being played with a controller essentially. The haptic surface acting as a mouse makes selecting, boxing or giving orders to units a breeze. However the game does rev the hardware as if you were running the newest unoptimized AAAslop. I could at most play for an hour or so before having to plug in the charger.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
“Some journeys aren’t about saving the world, but understanding it.”
Pillars of Eternity is a game that feels like a deliberate love letter to classic RPGs, but it never comes across as stuck in the past. Instead, it takes the foundation of old-school design and refines it into something that feels thoughtful, rich and surprisingly modern in the ways that matter. From the very beginning, the game pulls you into its world through atmosphere and writing rather than spectacle. The setting is dense, layered and filled with history, and while it can feel overwhelming at first, that complexity quickly becomes one of its greatest strengths. There is a real sense that this world existed long before you arrived, and will continue long after your story ends. The narrative leans heavily into themes of identity, belief and consequence, giving your choices a weight that feels meaningful without needing constant dramatic flair. Conversations are well written, often introspective, and the companions you meet along the way bring personality and perspective that enrich the experience. They are not just there to fill a party slot, they feel like individuals with their own motivations and struggles. Combat follows a real-time with pause system that rewards planning and awareness. It may take a little time to fully understand, especially for newcomers, but once it clicks it becomes deeply satisfying. Positioning, ability timing and party composition all matter, creating encounters that feel engaging rather than chaotic. It is a system that respects the player’s intelligence without becoming unnecessarily punishing. Exploration is another highlight. The world is filled with hidden stories, side quests and small details that encourage curiosity. Not every path leads to something grand, but almost every discovery adds a bit more texture to the setting. It’s the kind of game where taking your time feels rewarding rather than distracting. What stands out most is how cohesive everything feels. The art direction, the music, the writing and the systems all work together to create a consistent tone. It may not aim for flashy moments or constant action, but it builds something more lasting, a sense of immersion that grows stronger the more you invest in it. Pillars of Eternity is not trying to reinvent the RPG genre, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It understands what made these kinds of games special and delivers that experience with care and confidence. For players willing to engage with its depth, it offers a journey that is thoughtful, rewarding and genuinely memorable.
The game is good and it is even better with the new turn base combat.
Old school isometric RPG. Mechanics can be difficult to understand but I think storytelling and characters are great.
Now a second life brought to the game, was quite surprised and really happy to see Obsidian did the same as what they added to PoE2.
