This game crashes too much for me to be able to recommend it even though the gameplay is fun Edit: For some reason, playing the game in offline mode fixes the crashes, so try that if you want to play it Edit 2: It does not actually fix the crashes, you just have to skip the cutscenes

A shockingly good sequel to Persona 5 that got pushed aside by most people due to the controversial decision of keeping Persona 5 exclusive to Playstation at the time it was released. I’m not a fan of Dynasty Warriors or any spinoff there-of but I feel this game introduced good mechanics to make the gameplay a bit more tactical-based instead of just pushing buttons randomly, you get to pick a party of characters with different abilities and you can swap characters at any time while facing enemies with elemental weaknesses and occasionally solving simple puzzles or doing a target protection objective. Most of the time you’ll be using the protagonist because he has the special ability of being able to have every elemental ability ever but the game incentives you to switch characters by adding a meter that makes a huge amount of damage when full and is more easily filled by switching characters when the game tells you to. Honestly aside from the mandatory requirement of playing P5 to know what the hell is going on I find very little flaws in this game, it took me a while to get used to the combat because it plays at a different pace than DMC or Bayonetta but once I got into the rhythm of it I had a lot of fun with it, it has a good story, good characters and good gameplay.

The perfect sequel to Persona 5. This game brings back everything I loved about Persona 5 Royal while changing the gameplay to make them a lot easier to play back to back without getting burnt out. The music is amazing as always. The characters are still great. And the new characters they introduce fit in perfectly with The Phantom Thieves. I never felt like the cast was overcrowded despite there being quite a lot of main characters. The story did tend to repeat some story beats from the original but I never found it to take away any of my enjoyment of the game. Anyone who enjoyed Persona 5 is sure to enjoy this amazing sequel.

Pretty easily the best hack and slash game I have played. Great music, combat, and story. The movement is so stylish and it flows really well with the music in combat. I absolutely love this game, and will for sure go for the 100%. I really recommend it if you enjoyed Persona 5. Just go in knowing that you won't be playing a turn based JRPG. If you think the fast paced combat could be hard to keep up with, when you summon your persona, the combat halts to let you decide the skill you want to use and it helps a lot. I saw some other people leaving reviews saying they experienced crashes. I myself didn't experience a single crash in my playthrough. Not saying you wont crash if you get the game, but it's definitely not a guarantee. Not really sure how to help those that are experience the crashes unfortunately. Like any Persona game, id just get it on sale. These games go on big sales fairly often it seems.

This game crashes like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it's key configuration is a complete joke. They put none of the Persona 5 Royal polish into this at all. I literally can't even get past the first tutorial mission because it keep crashing every time I try to leave and I really don't feel like playing 50 more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times only for it crash again. Quite literally unplayable. Like I literally paid for a game I physically cannot play. This game doesn't crash during gameplay, it literally only crashes during dialogue at the same point every single time and you can go a while without having a save point so have fun doing hours of ♥♥♥♥ over and over again. As someone else on here said, the only way to play this story driven game is to skip all story content.

Stylish art and iconic music create a stunning aesthetic, but they mask a shallow gameplay core. The repetitive combat and soulless dungeons feel more like a chore than a challenge. It works better as an interactive visual novel or a 12-episode anime than as a 40-hour game. Style is not a substitute for substance.
