Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
From Obsidian, this game is a historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years. Players will be responsible for conducting their own investigation to decide the fate of the community, but each decision will have lasting consequences and inexorably draws Andreas closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.
Experience 16th century Europe as the master artists of the time saw them. Art inspired by great illuminated manuscripts and the earliest printed books becomes a living, breathing world in Pentiment.
Choose different academic and social backgrounds and meet a colorful cast of characters as you discover the stories and secrets that lie within the small Bavarian town of Tassing and nearby Keirsau Abbey.
In an era of great religious and political change, each decision you make can have a profound impact on the community’s future. Find your own way through this turbulent time and see the consequences of your choices play out over generations.

A fantastic game The writing is as far I can tell spot on. I liked the dialogue alot. There is alot to like about this game. It have stood on my radar for a while. The setting is good. I like how the mystery doesnt have a clear answear. I like that there are different angels of who could have done it I liked the atmosphere, the artstyle alot. Either is the characters, the journal etc is great and vibrant. The map is also great. I found the music quiet fine to with some very cool music pieces in the game. The story is quiet good with some twist and turns. It tries to tell a story with alot of small detalis. I like how the game portrays the story, the religion, the backuground of all the chraracters, the different perspective. That your choices while hard might not really affect how you think they do. I liked all the acts and found the last act a decent change of pace in showing what happend to the characters and the town from the first two acts. Well worth playing if you want a game with a good store, lots of details , good characters, good music some hard choices and a game that can learn you some history too. I also like how the game gradually introuduces new backgrounds for your characters and that they seem to effect certain choises.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I've been playing the game and I think I'm already far into it. I enjoy it. The background ambiance is peaceful and the story-world has its own charm and is filled with interesting people. This game does remind me of Disco Elysium Final Cut, and Zero Parades for Dead Spies, but it's in its own historical style which is quite artistic. Like I said, I'm still playing Pentiment, yet I do recommend it to gamers who enjoy detective style games like this one. Thumbs up.
As someone who loves medieval and early modern history, Pentiment is one of the best historical games I've ever played. Set in the early 16th century during the late Renaissance and the Protestant Reformation, it brilliantly captures the lives of ordinary people rather than just focusing on kings and wars. The game does an amazing job portraying the tensions between the clergy, the nobility, and the common folk, making the social and religious changes of the era feel real and personal. While some aspects are understandably simplified for gameplay, the world, characters, art, and historical atmosphere are incredibly authentic. If you're a history enthusiast, especially interested in the Reformation or everyday life in this period, Pentiment is an absolute must-play.
Absolutely recommend this game. It is heavy on reading dialogue, but it is so enjoyable. I cannot recommend it enough if you are into history. The story is captivating and the characters all feel so real; I loved every aspect of this game.
I must say this game is something really special! It's a game like no other I've ever played before. The world-building is wonderful and at a certain point in game I was really returned back to my past, when something very similar happened to me in real life. Oh, the emotions! Thank you, Developers, for all the great moments I experienced! Oh, by the way, I played the game in French. I'm not a native speaker, so it took me a while to finish. I must say I did learn a word or two during my playthrough. Special thanks to all the Translators too.
