Superb 360° shooter; as so many have said, it's Descent with modern polish but 90s gameplay - which is a good thing. Enemies hiding around every corner and behind every pillar; excellent explosions, superb soundtrack. For me it's satisfyingly hard on Hotshot, but that leaves easier and harder levels to suit. Particularly good with a SpaceMouse for movement and trackball for aiming.
good
Great game, especially for fand of the Descent series.

Butterweiches Gleiten durch Stollen und Strukturen - Ferne Erinnerungen an Descent 1+ kommen zurück. Macht (mir) einfach immer noch Spass ;-)
I nice update to Descent from the nineties
I do not play a ton of 6DOF games but I loved the campaign on Hotshot. got lost quite a bit but there is a map to reference where you are, and getting lost is part of the fun. audio logs and mission briefings contribute positively to the atmosphere, as does the dense soundtrack. sad to see the devs of this one went under, I hope they're able to get together and make another campaign. challenge mode seems to have a lot to do with its own leveling system, and NG+ might have new stuff.
Vieux joueur de Descent 2 et surtout de Descent 3, je suis un grand fan de Overload VR. Je paierais volontiers pour un nouveau monde. Grand merci !!!
I tried to play Descent on GoG using flight sticks and I couldn't figure out how to configure them in DOSBox, so I gave up and refunded it. Flight sticks works flawlessly in this game though. Even VR works perfectly fine using the Quest 3. The game supports analog movement for all axes (forward/backwards, up/down/left/right, yaw/pitch, roll), so if you have more than two analog sticks, you'll be able to fully control 6DOF movement. The game feels distinctly dated with its mission-based structure, art direction, game design elements (hidden walls, collectables). But if you haven't played a game like Descent using flight sticks and VR before, then I'm sure this game is perfectly fine.
great game loved decent 2, forsaken back in to day
if you played Descent back in the day & are looking to revist that type of game while taking the immersion up to 1000 then Overload is what you are looking for, i really need to set aside more time to play this because it is simply brilliant
