Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In a solar system cut-off from a ravaged Earth, you play as a scavenger trying to make a living in the dredges of space. Wage-slave scrapper life isn’t enough anymore, and at last you’ve pulled together the funds (plus a hefty loan) to have a go at independence.
Based in the same universe as Blue Bottle Game’s last hit NEO Scavenger, learn to manage your dysfunctional crew and ship as you fend off bankruptcy...or worse.
Every choice you make will affect the outcome of the game. In character creation, you’ll use a Career Kiosk to shape your character’s background, income, and qualifications. Use it to customise your traits and skillset, which will be essential when managing your ship, its crew, and anyone sticking their noses in your business. You’ll start out the game with enemies, ex-lovers, and acquaintances to seek out… or avoid. Just remember your early decisions will affect your options and outcomes in conversations down the line.
Build your dream ship from the ground up, using detailed, functional parts. Scavenge “pre-loved” parts in the boneyard to upgrade your ship - finding old or rare parts in the system is much cheaper than tracking down the original manufacturer. Who has time to scour the solar system? Hook up subsystems, add extra power and fuel, and be sure to replace parts which have worn out during your adventures. Parts are essential to your experience and will change how your ship feels to fly.
“I cannot change the laws of physics, Captain!” In Ostranauts you will be piloting a ship under the laws of Newtonian flight, learning to fly using in-world manuals and sheets. It will be your job to manipulate control panels, flip switches, and to resist the urge to press the big shiny red button… Every craft has a different flight feel based on thrusters, hull mass, and how you’ve customised the ship. Remember to use a light touch whilst docking, and try not find yourself in the outer rim with an empty fuel gauge.
Even in the darkest corners of space, you are not alone. Each character you encounter runs an AI that is constantly making choices based on their current needs and past experiences. They have physiological and emotional needs, ranging from basic wants like food, oxygen and water all the way up to deeper needs like intimacy and security. As captain, keep an eye out at the space port, scout out a crew and build those relationships. Your background will shape out how you are able to interact with other characters and if they will join your ship - have you developed a silver tongue or does fear rule your ship?
Based in the same universe as NEO Scavenger, Ostranauts will be rich with lore for those who wish to explore. After the collapse of civilization on Earth, colonies and factions formed - colonising other planets, moons and asteroids - with only those able to adapt to the harshness of space able to survive. As states and corporations spread their reach through the System, whispers of unexplained phenomena are creeping through back channels.
Blue Bottle Games encourages players to join the Discord, share modding ideas, and to help grow the world of Ostranauts. Modders who want to make their experience more unique are able to edit a wide variety of game data - most of the game's data is in plain-text files for easy access. If you have an inquiry, send us a message in either the Blue Bottle or Kitfox Discord.

I honestly struggle when trying to describe this game. Sure, it starts as a science fiction ship scrapping tale, but it evolves into a space flight physics sim, a dating sim, a trading sim, a rugged mining game, a quasi-kart-racer, a murder mystery... and even 152 hours into the game, I feel like I've just gotten past the appetizer and started on the main course. Even so, Ostranauts is not for everyone. It's incredibly frustrating at times, and I found myself reloading the same save five to ten times in order to try a difficult task. And yes, there are more than a handful of glitches - it's a huge game, and for a small developer, that's acceptable. But if you approach this more as a roguelike with abstract, unclear goals than a traditional space adventure, you're likely to find joy in the struggle of life in space.
This is my dream game! I’ve been looking for something like this for years: a game where you can truly be the captain of your own ship. You start with a cheap, crappy vessel, then slowly repair and upgrade it yourself. You can buy new components, but it’s even more satisfying to rip working parts out of wrecks and install them in your own ship! I LOVE IT! It feels like Space Engineers, Kenshi, and Project Zomboid had a beautiful love child. BEST GAME EVER! It might not be for everyone, and it can seem a little complicated at first, but if you take the time to understand it, read the manual, and look up a few things, you’ll discover an incredibly good, rare, deep, and complex game. You can furnish and customize your ship however you like. You can loot abandoned ships and sell their components, restore a wreck and sell the entire ship, keep repairing and expanding your old vessel, or simply buy a new one. The list goes on and on. There are so many possibilities. Personally, I travel through space as a lonely captain, searching for wrecks. I either strip them for useful parts or restore purchased wrecks and sell them for a profit. I don’t have a crew. Every now and then, I return to the station, restock my supplies, eat a good meal, buy some coffee, and then head straight back into space! And of course, I’m constantly tinkering with my own ship. While being extremely careful with my money, naturally! It feels like having my own personal hobby. :D Congratulations to the developer, and please keep up the amazing work! JUST TAKE MY MONEY AND GIVE ME MORE! :D I only have one minor complaint: there are no large water tanks or proper plumbing systems. But honestly, I can live with that! And it only costs around €20, so it’s absolutely worth the price. Anyone who enjoys games like Space Engineers, Kenshi, Project Zomboid, or NEO Scavenger should consider this an absolute must-play.

Awesome game!
Came back to the game for the 1.0 launch, and I've been enjoying it. As others have noted, there are concerning bugs, but I've not encountered too many. I'm playing without any additional crew, as I've heard they can lead to performance and other issues. The core experience of scavenging ships in space has been slow but pretty fun, and I'm eager to try some of the other stuff available in-game. The character creator could definitely use some work, but I'd recommend engaging with it to ensure you play a good character if you plan on making a long run--age and injury in particular are worth avoiding.
A good spooky space survival-rpg. A bit buggy and could use more hand-made quests and 'dungeons', but quite interesting and addictive. Definitely good enough for a $20 game.
Plain Awesome.
Good but the racing is broken. The sevtors you fly to are physical objects and at times dont even register when you pass by them, or hit them going 200 m/s...
Love it
我老想玩Ostranauts了,最近被电子杨韦折磨的玩什么,痿什么,然后特别想玩Ostranauts,可惜Ostranauts没有中文,令人感叹。
The Firefly simulator I've always dreamed of. This game scratches a very hard to reach itch. So hard to reach that I ended up making a board game for myself over the last couple years to try and provide myself the exact same feeling that this gives. Survival and scrapping, cobbling together a crew, and upgrading your ship to try and thrive in the harsh realities of space. I doubt this title is for everyone, but for those that it is for I don't think there is another game like it.
