I give this game a 8.5 out of 10. It loses 1 point for that HORRENDOUS DOUBLE MEAT GRINDER section in one of the secret mudokon areas with the three paramites. After rescuing all of the mudokons in that room and dealing with the paramites, I have never died so many times in a single area in all of the game than this one because of those grinders. I'm also docking it another .3 points for the slight damper in control, though it did get better once I enabled "Button to Run" and "Sideway Hop" so I had more control over Abe's movements instead of him sliding into a mine and dying. Another .2 points for some graphical bugs. Nothing detrimental that would prevent me from beating it, but noticeable.

this is my favourite game of all time. I first played the og one several times between the ages of 8 and 12, then started it again at 22, and finally played this one back to back at 25. it's just as good as I remember, and it will always be my most recommended game. the actual gameplay is amazing. the story is great. the mechanics are very fun. there are some "puzzles" and they're just the right amount of tricky. the actual game is also so so so beautiful, and I absolutely love all the scenery in it. I love this game so much I could cry 😭😭😭 please if you haven't played it yet - DO IT IMMEDIATELY !!!
The Original game was the first game I ever played, playing this remaster was blast from the past. Parts of the game could use some work, just a bit clunky at time. Other then that thanks to my dad for letting me play this when I was 4
A great re-imagining of a classic, people that say its too sanitized or ruined the art style are overstating the issue. Plays great and is still as hard as ever. Shows how amazing the original was considering this aged perfectly. I consider this a side grade to the original, I'd say play both, I'd give the edge to the original considering the time period in which it was released, but this one is far more palatable for a modern audience.
Muito top
The game goes from a fun and well designed puzzle platformer, to having you mindlessly walk around interacting with objects, to becoming a combat game where the enemies stand around being completely useless while you kill them by standing still holding down 2 buttons. Also horrible controls with an extremely exaggerated momentum system, an improvement over the ps1 version, but still deaths shouldn't happen cause you pushed a button for 0.6sec or 0.4sec instead of the required 0.5 seconds The game is heavily story based, with a unique and interesting story told at the expense of making 2/3 of the gameplay bland, so I only recommend this game to players that enjoy story based games.
