About

STRIDE is a high-octane parkour adventure in virtual reality. Fight for your life as you hurtle through the canopy of a futuristic metropolis. Step into the shoes of a master freerunner as you vault, swing, roll, and shoot your way through this intense, action-packed adventure. Will you survive the ultimate freerun?

Avoid being touched by zombie players, or infect as many survivors as possible.
Grab a crown and wear it longer than other players to win. The crown goes to the player who tagged you.
The classic "all against all", up to 10 players in a match. The player's objective is to do more kills than their opponent(s) for that game.
All players are split into 2 teams, up to 5x5 players. Cover your teammates and hold key locations on the map with useful pick-ups to seize the advantage.
Steal the enemy’s flag and deliver it to your base as quickly as possible. Try to follow the most optimal path and avoid confrontation.

Infinite level generation provides unlimited challenging terrain. Build your score by landing jumps over impossibly wide gaps, nailing insane wall-runs, sliding under barriers, and swinging between buildings. There’s no turning back or time to stop - as the world quickly falls apart behind you. Oh, and did we mention the rooftops are crawling with snipers? Pull out your 9mm mid-air and pick them off as you glide across the gap between buildings.
Compete for the top spot on the leaderboard. In Time Run mode, it’s all about speed. As the terrain unveils itself ahead of you, you’ll need to visualize your route on the fly, and execute each move with precision.
In Arena mode, you’re presented with a spacious section of the city’s rooftops, without the pressure of a creeping barrier coming up behind you. You have complete freedom of movement within this complex high-rise “arena” but you’ll be challenged with a variety of tasks. Examples include finding and collecting certain items , completing a specified route within a time limit, stealing an item without getting spotted by the snipers, or - simply - killing all the enemies! Arena mode feels even more like a real city, so enjoy the views… but try not to die.

Reviews
This *used* to be one of my favorite vr games. Then they added locked doors to the endless mode that completely kill any sense of flow since they force you to stop running and shoot randomly-placed locks in order to progress. The devs sadly treat this game and its fans like neither exist and have moved on. Sad.
They didn't give me my free copy of Fates so I'm obligated to say this game is garbage
What was once an extremely unique take on parkour, has now turned into a defunct, upsetting, and lacking product. I had initially bought this long ago because I had come fresh of the Mirror's Edge train. This was the perfect out for me, and it even gave me a slight work out. Cut forward to now. Stride : Fates is a thing, and to the behest of the playerbase here, they've betrayed them and asked for an exorbitant price range for something that was to be an UPDATE to this game. I'm extremely disappointed in these guys. (Edit 1 : Before you point out low hour count, I didn't have accessible internet for a while.)

this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tech-demo that was abandoned after we were promised they would finish this game and there would be Story-mode, what they actually meant is they would instead essentially just put this "update" behind a 40$ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paywall known as stride:fates where they wouldn't even fix any of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problems with the original, instead they made a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ filler campaign and added like four new weapons. you could literally just emulate this game in bone-lab, and considering that bone-lab itself is leagues above this game in terms of physics and AI it would probably even turn out better than this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unfinished piece of ♥♥♥♥, the original mirror's edge has more content than this.
dropped what made this game good from the smell of money, deciding to move promised updates into another game just to earn a couple more bucks, sigh.
If you like dead multiplayer games do buy
i love this game, and i have over 80 hrs on meta but dont buy it for the multiplayer bc it is completely dead
This game used to be great. Unfortunately, they have disabled the multiplayer, which was the best part, and added random security lock targets on walls to shoot to open doors, which ruins the rush, and sometimes the locks bug out, so you lose for no reason. Worst part is they cut out the story, then sold it as a sequel, and made it using AI. Also, the audio is extremely crackly in this game, and no other VR games I play, and I swear it didn't used to be this way years ago. Overall, everyone that loved this game got scammed, so don't bother buying it. Joy Way is known for abandoning games and mixed to negative ratings on all of them. This was the one great game they had, and they ruined it too.
its a good tech demo, just it kinda sucks, the gun system isnt that good, and not to mention, ITS UNPLAYABLE IF YOU USE INDEX CONTROLLERS!! yes, its technically playable, but for some reason i constantly get sent to the pause menu without touching ANYTHING but my joysticks and my right A not to mention, it doesnt have a freemode... tldr, dont get it if you have the index
