Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I tried to like this game, expecting some of the annoyances on the previous opus to be fixed... Well, I was disappointed. It's still absolutely grindy, with repetitive encounters all the way. (And avoiding them is possible, but you'll end up under leveled, which is a death sentence). More than half of my play time is spent in mindless combat against the same creatures, using the same spells and attacks... Graphically, it's good, slightly better than the previous opus. Storylines are decent at best. Still barely no interaction between protagonists (although a little bit better with the cross path quests, but they feel like additionnal content placated on top on the rest, with no meaningful ties to the main story itself). The voice acting is good, the the writing is probably directed toward young kids, with extremely shallow designs for both protagonists and NPCs. (Except Oswald, I'll admit). The enemies are unredeemably "I want to kill everyone while laughing maniacally" with no inner conflit at all. The allies are somewhat better, but either they die tragically, or they betray you, no inbetween. The whole combat system is built on an illusion of choices. You have a lot of options as to which passives you want to use. And 90% of them are useless. The rest is basically imposed by the game and bosses. Does your build make huge attacks? They you need the Warrior last passive to hit more than 10k at once. Does the boss have a one-shot mechanic? Then you need the anti-oneshot passive on basically everyone. If you try to make a fun build, the game with shut you down. Attempt to make some buff permanents? The bosses will cleanse them. Try to focus on evasion? Don't worry, most bosses have perfect accuracy. Build a tank to capture the aggro, sacrificing precious passive slots for that? Who cares, two third of bosses have only AoE attacks. And if that wasn't enough, the luck factor is extremely high. "Hey, the boss will do three attacks at the beginning of the round, one of them will put everyone at 1hp, and another one is an AoE".. well, yes, of course, the order is random, and it might be a game over. The devs love their gimmicks which invalidate any tanking strategy.... Removing a hero from the fight without any warning, nor way to protect it? Don't mind if I do! Yes, you usually free them by breaking the boss shield... but what if this was your main shield breaker? Oh, bad luck! In their quest for balance, the devs have casted the fun aside, leaving only their contempt for the players seeping through the game. You are here to grind, and you will NOT cheese a single fight. The one truly good thing about this game is the music... except that the best tracks at the heroes themes, which you only hear at the end of chapters... In short, I cannot recommend this game at all, unless you like repetitive tasks and being shoehorned into using the same strategy over and over...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 9.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 18.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is not actually a yes/no on recommendation I feel like I'm lingering on 5/10 just like the first one. This game has some obvious improvements on battles, day/night system and they finally made the characters talk to each other at the end of the game but several issues dragged the score down: 1. Story: like the first, this has been another disappointment ... it's like they didn't bother finding better writers. Only Osvald and Throne has some interesting storylines, even if questionable (it's not that amazing either). While most of the other characters feels like it's written for idealistic children, the others some have very mature storylines. 2. Partitio: man what a cringe fest. If Alfyn and the apothecaries were questionable enough with their totally free healthcare it kind of takes away the realism of the world... how do they feed themselves or make a living? Now we have this numbnut over here claiming to be a merchant while spending too much to even earn a profit, and then gives away stuff for free. He's a socialist/communist. This unsustainable idiocy will bother anyone with common sense. I know this is a 'fantasy' game but c'mon. 3. Music: The bgms are actually good, my only complaint is that there's not a lot of good hits as the first. It's as if all the braincells of the great composer Yasunori Nishiki went to the first one and was just dragged into making another one for Squaresoft's profit. The problem with great artists is that most of them are spent already on their first masterpiece, I would argue that this is the case with movies as well and why there isn't a lot of good part 2's or even a trilogy (with some rare exceptions) Everything else is fine... not great, just, most of them are skippable actually. Near the end of the storylines for all them I decided to skip over the rest since they are pretty much the same old lame story telling (power of friendship, etc). The secret jobs aren't as interesting, it looks like they were experimenting on this one. I'd only recommend this game on a massive sale and probably just to pickup some of the bgm's.
Better than the first game in a lot of ways, a good RPG for anyone to enjoy, although for me the story becomes tedious at times, as one already expects the typical cliches in each story. I had a good time overall and i would recommend it to anyone that enjoys JRPGs like me, but be mindful that you'll have to sit through a lot of cutscenes where you already know what its gonna happen. Thankfully, the music makes the journey through the roughest parts worthwhile. The combat is enjoyable, but the encounter rate is very high, and because of that the overworld can feel overwhelming at times. A good game, but i wish i had a better time with it. Score: 7.5/10.
