Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 14 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
A fine representation of small party 3rd edition Dungeons & Dragons. It offers a variety of character options, and is wonderful for DMs to create game content. People have been doing so for over twenty years! Worth the money and lots of fun.
(auto) This is not the old game where every chest is planned and calculated, every goblin and the experience from it... Now it's a grind. Yes, yes, everything has been "auto-leveled" here. And now if you farmed a level earlier, the items in the chests change, and the number of enemies multiplies. For the sake of curiosity, I started with a "saved" character with a high level and didn't find a single static item except for a couple "for the task". The same first magic ring that was carefully placed by the developers in the prologue can turn into garbage, so it's more expensive to sell, but garbage. Also, in the very first chapter, some features are broken because of this. For example, in the prison area, you could clear the streets and no more bandits would appear, but in the beggars' quarter, zombies would regenerate until you kill the necromancer, now they don't, but there are a million of these zombies and it's stupidly tiring because it takes time, and there's no game challenge. They also made the Neverwinter guards immortal in the first chapter, meaning you can drive enemies towards them and they will clear the map themselves because sometimes they run from one enemy to another, and you get experience. Because of this, the ring you can get in Helm's Castle (and it was almost the best in the game because it was unique to the entire game) is now garbage, because you find ten even better and the reward for your research and choices becomes invisible and you don't feel the progression. In short, the mechanics are broken. In the addons Shadows of the Undertide and Horde of Darkness, this breaks the gameplay even more because in each chest there is a weapon +20 God's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And the unique talking sword goes to the trash, because it is simply a hundred times worse than any garbage that will now be generated. Although according to the company, it was a fairly valuable weapon (if you play honestly and didn't cheat your weapon) throughout the entire campaign. If you are "new", that is, recently born and wanted to touch the "classics", then you will be surprised why so many people bow to such low-grade crap. If you are a "veteran", then purely for the sake of nostalgia you will run away and will not return to any company. They touched on what was not necessary. The only thing these "remakers" did coolly was restore the network game. Updated the mapeditor to create their own modules for playing online. That's all. If you have a group of friends who love D&D, then you can take it to play online, especially with good visualization, let's say, a replacement for the tabletop in real life. No more.

I owned and played this game when it was new, back in the old EverQuest days. The beauty of Neverwinter Nights is not in the official campaigns, although they are good (verdict is still out on the original campaign, apparently), but in the fan community content, including still-active multiplayer servers. One thing that is refreshing is that no area either requires, nor even allows, grinding to progress, since enemies stay dead when killed; although there are also some modules that *do* feature respawning mobs, if grinding appeals to you. Despite being 25 years old it is still a fun game (or rather, game system) which to this day has a thriving community of content creators and modders. If D&D appeals to you after Baldur's Gate 3, Neverwinter Nights may be worth a look for you.
NN:EE is not a bad remaster of the original title. It improves the game to work with modern systems, it has achievements, and it retains the fun of the original game's campaigns. While I must state it does not include anything new, it's still a decent effort to ensure it can be played.
Great game
One of the VERY BEST games ever made.
I've heard it's pretty good. Never played it though.
