Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Mother Machine is a cooperative roguelike platformer developed and published by Maschinen-Mensch. Known for creating atmospheric adventure titles, the studio takes a very different direction here by focusing on chaotic multiplayer exploration inside procedurally generated alien caves. The game combines elements of side-scrolling platformers, roguelike progression, and cooperative sandbox gameplay. Rather than presenting a strictly linear adventure, it encourages players to repeatedly venture into unpredictable cave systems, gather resources, evolve their strange creatures, and uncover fragments of the world’s mysterious past. The story is intentionally unconventional and somewhat mysterious. Players assume the role of bizarre gremlin-like creatures created by a massive artificial intelligence known simply as the Mother Machine. This ancient machine inhabits a distant planet and continuously produces these small creatures in order to explore and harvest resources from the planet’s vast underground cave networks. Each expedition is essentially an experiment carried out by the machine, sending its creations deeper into the planet’s dangerous ecosystems. While the narrative remains mostly in the background, hints scattered throughout the world suggest that the Mother Machine may have a deeper purpose and that the strange planet holds secrets connected to forgotten technology and abandoned civilizations. Gameplay revolves around exploring procedurally generated cave systems filled with hazards, enemies, and hidden rewards. Each run begins with players being deployed into a newly generated environment where the layout of tunnels, platforms, and obstacles is different from previous expeditions. The caves are vertical and complex, requiring careful navigation through climbing, jumping, and stamina-based movement mechanics. Traversing the terrain becomes one of the most engaging parts of the experience, as players must manage their characters’ energy while scaling walls, reaching distant ledges, and avoiding environmental dangers. Combat and survival mechanics play a secondary but still important role in the exploration. The underground world is inhabited by strange alien creatures that attack the player’s expedition teams. Players must defend themselves using a mixture of abilities and environmental awareness while continuing to search for valuable resources hidden throughout the caves. Although the combat system remains relatively simple, it complements the exploration gameplay by adding moments of tension when dangerous enemies appear in narrow tunnels or crowded platforms. One of the most distinctive features of Mother Machine is its emphasis on cooperative gameplay. Up to four players can explore the caves together, transforming each expedition into a collaborative challenge. When multiple players join the same mission, teamwork becomes essential for surviving difficult terrain and enemy encounters. Players can assist each other by reaching inaccessible areas, reviving fallen teammates, or combining abilities to overcome obstacles. However, the physics-based movement system can also lead to hilarious chaos, as players occasionally bump into each other, fall off platforms, or trigger traps accidentally. These unpredictable interactions are clearly part of the game’s design philosophy, creating humorous moments that make cooperative play especially memorable. Progression in the game is built around a mutation system that allows players to enhance their creatures between expeditions. Resources collected during missions can be used to unlock biological upgrades that improve mobility, combat abilities, or supportive powers. Some mutations might increase climbing efficiency, while others provide offensive capabilities or defensive advantages. Because players can experiment with different combinations of mutations, each character build can feel unique. This progression system encourages repeated runs, allowing players to gradually refine their abilities and explore deeper sections of the planet’s underground environment. The visual presentation of Mother Machine is striking and distinctive. The caves are filled with vibrant alien flora, glowing crystals, and strange organic structures that give the environment a surreal appearance. The art style blends slightly grotesque creature designs with bright colors and fluid animation, creating a world that feels both playful and unsettling at the same time. The gremlin characters themselves are intentionally quirky in design, with exaggerated movements and expressions that contribute to the game’s humorous tone. Sound design also plays a role in reinforcing the game’s atmosphere. Ambient cave sounds accompany exploration, while energetic music adds excitement during intense encounters. The creatures’ movements and abilities are accompanied by exaggerated sound effects that emphasize the chaotic nature of cooperative gameplay. Together, these audio elements create a lively environment that matches the unpredictable nature of each expedition. Despite its creative mechanics, the game is not without flaws. Procedural generation helps provide variety, but the cave environments can begin to feel familiar after extended play sessions. While the mutation system adds progression, the overall mission structure often revolves around similar objectives such as gathering resources and surviving encounters. Players looking for deeper narrative development or more complex combat systems may find the experience somewhat limited in scope. Nevertheless, Mother Machine succeeds in delivering a unique cooperative platforming experience that thrives on unpredictability. The combination of procedural caves, physics-based movement, and customizable character abilities creates a gameplay loop that rewards experimentation and teamwork. The game is particularly enjoyable when played with friends, as the unpredictable interactions between players often produce entertaining moments that would not occur in solo play. Overall, Mother Machine stands out as an imaginative indie project that embraces creativity and cooperative chaos. While its repetitive structure and limited combat depth prevent it from reaching the complexity of larger roguelike adventures, its vibrant world and playful design make it a memorable experience. For players who enjoy cooperative platformers with roguelike progression and unusual creatures, the game offers a lively and entertaining journey beneath an alien planet’s surface. Rating: 7/10
i dont have mouch in the game, but i just want to say please optimalise it more, i would like it really more if it would be better optimalised, i have strong hardware but still the game is laggy for me on the worst graphics possible.
I really wanted to play this game. It is fun! That's not the issue. The issue is it is SO buggy that it is essentially entirely unplayable. When I tried playing local co op with a friend, it forced us to have the exact same abilities even though the game advertises being able to do different builds with your friends to make a good team. We were unable to find a solution for this. So we attempted to do regular online play. Well there is currently a bug that makes it so when you try to go to the online lobby you simply get stuck with a loading screen forever. It says it may take up to 10 minutes and I waited probably 20-30 minutes and nothing. My friend had the same experience. So....can't play online mode, can't play local co op....unplayable. And it seems instead of fixing this game the creators simply moved on to a different version of this same game which is frustrating to me. Unless they release patches addressing these things I can't recommend getting this game.
好玩
