MISERY is a 1–10 player co-op survival game set in a nuclear disaster zone. Here, every day is a struggle: search radioactive ruins for resources, build your bunker, craft weapons, and explore a weird, procedurally-generated world with your friends. Beware of anomalies, monsters, and armed bandits.

About
You play as PMCs guarding a secret research institute in the Republic of Zaslavie.
The Scientific Institute for Research of the Zaslavie Exclusion Zone (SIRZEZ) was built before the war to study anomalies and artifacts. Over time, these artifacts became the cause of conflict between international military blocs. Neither side could allow artifacts to fall into enemy hands, ultimately leading to nuclear war.
A siren sounds — a nuclear bomb is incoming! You have 60 seconds to grab whatever you can and make it to the bunker. Then, the survival begins. Each day, you venture into the Exclusion Zone to scavenge procedurally generated locations: abandoned military bases and research stations, radioactive wastelands, and ruined cities.
The Zone is full of secrets and deadly traps, and radiation is far from the only threat.
You’ll encounter other survivors ready to kill for food and resources, weird mutated creatures with unique behaviors, and various anomalies.

No one knows how exactly anomalies work or their origin. Some phenomena can help you, others will tear you apart. Anomaly areas often hide artifacts — rare, valuable items distorted by anomalies and charged with unique effects.

The bunker is your new home.
Expand it room by room: install generators (gas, solar, or gnome-powered), build crafting stations, grow food, cook meals, and decorate your shelter with whatever you drag back from raids: a table, a dresser, a worn-out sofa, or even a cozy rug. Don’t worry, the previous owners won’t be needing them anymore.
After each raid, you can unwind and chill at the bar in the basement of the institute: have a drink, talk to other survivors, and trade your loot and rare artifacts with the merchant.

Remember, watch your vitals.
In the Zone, people can easily die from hunger, thirst, radiation sickness, or lose their minds and turn on their teammates. Go out looting during the day, and return to bunker before nightfall.
And one last thing: the Zone plays with your mind. Too much stress and you’ll start hearing whispers, seeing things that aren’t there, and feeling someone watching you. Lose your grip, and not even the bunker will save you. Nothing will.
Life in MISERY isn’t easy.
But there’s nothing better than going through it all together.
Exploring bandos with friends, watching each other’s backs, sitting by the fire, drinking whatever’s left, and exhaling smoke into the cold rain — in moments like these, you can feel alive again!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
MISERY is a stylized post-apocalyptic paranormal survival game with a rogue-lite gameplay loop. I believe people who enjoy this genre and/or aesthetic will enjoy this game, and therefore I recommend it. This is however without it's grievances, and it is not possible to overlook the very apparent issues present. The two biggest issues lie in the bugs and questionable decisions in many aspects of the game. The bugs will occasionally take away from the experience when interacting with some of the most common elements such as the inventory and hotbar. In addition to that, other areas of the game seem to have some questionable design choices that result in some rather frustrating experiences. To briefly branch off from the normal format of this review, I would like to note that I am refraining from giving examples as 1. for this review, it'd probably just serve to waste time - and 2. if I DID decide to do that, it would eclipse the length of this review 3 fold, trust me... that being said, it is still incredibly important to recognize the huge issues present as they massively impact the flow of the game. Despite my urgency to point out the flaws, I still consider MISERY a fully complete and enjoyable game and I find myself repeatedly returning for more. The gameplay loop is borderline addictive, and you will always be finding something else to improve as you progress through the game. The experience only heightens itself the more friends you can convince to play with as well. In conclusion, I think that MISERY is an excellent game and experience that is held back only by the bugs that plague it and the handful of design choices that I and others disagree with. I have hope and confidence that the developer will refine and perfect this game given enough time. Even then, if this game were to stop development here, I would still recommend it to the people who can overlook it's shortcomings.

oh oh the misery every single person is my enemy
Very good game, especially with friends. If you enjoy horror/survival immersive types of games, this is the one for you. At first the game is very grindy and you might need to restart a couple of times before you get the hang of it. After the 10th hour on your save you will start enjoying the game to its full, theres so many mechanics, systems, items and tools you can make for your base that you probably will always have something to collect materials for. Keep note that the game is still in development so this is just a small view of what will be added in the future. Exploring is awesome, set in the soviet Republic of Zaslavie, a dark and disturbing eastern european style map, there is many different structures, areas and anonalies to explore each new day. I would say that fighting isnt the strongest part of this game but it is usable and often perfectly fine. Would be nice if more mechanics are added beside just shooting the enemies or hitting them, something like traps and other stuff would be nice. There is a good variety of enemies but would be nice to see new creatures added since the current ones do get a bit too repetitive at some point. Overall this game is great, extremely fun and interesting to play with friends, there is proximity chat for anyone that wants to use that. A must play game, fun exploration and base building, very cool setting and lore. 8/10
