Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

"Raiden, turn the game console off right now!" this is an absolute masterpiece of a game, and graphically its still pretty good, of course it came out in 2001, but its a really well made game, the story 100% stand up to today, kojima being kojima of course, I really recommend people to play mgs2, even if they havent played mgs1 (it just adds to your confusion), I personally havent run into any graphical errors, i know some people get them though, game runs perfectly fine, you can of course get a mod to fix bugs that the original porters of MGS2 made (bluepoint studios) such as effects, audio, all that jazz 10/10 i used a quote from solidus as my graduation quote
Awesome part of the Master Collection Vol.1. Second best game in the bunch!
i love this game
Life isn't just about passing on your genes
Awesome Game, Good Story, Near enough the same controls as the 1st game.
Man, I HATED MGS 2 when I first started to play it, Coming off of playing the first game, then right into the second, It was not a fun start, then It got put down for a few months, life got in the way then I picked it back up, Finished the tanker chapter, and began the big shell. It didnt hit until after I finished the game but MGS was truly a peak game, the story, fights, humor, and Kojimas touch.
relying in end user to fix your ♥♥♥♥ is not acceptable
I wanted to enjoy this but it's a terrible port. I went through the Tanker with no issues, but once I got to the Big Shell, I kept experiencing crashes when moving between struts. At first it wasn't a big deal, but then it corrupted my entire save file. I don't feel inclined to keep playing if my save is just going to get nuked when I want to put it down.
