Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Incredibly dated game design, of course, and certainly not for everybody, especially the first game is really REALLY rough, the second game does improve a lot over the first but i would say it really would not hurt to skip these games or at least the first one. I would highly recommend to use the new easy mode though as playing them in the original difficulty makes the already very dated and challanging game design even more rough and hard to approach, so for your own sanity sake just play it on easy, or just skip ahead to the 3D games.
Несомненно в конце тысячелетия это был бэнгер но сейчас в это играть будет некрофил.

BIG BOSS
two classics in one box. I have fond memories of playing the NES version of Metal Gear and although the MSX version is entirely different, it still scratches the itch.
METAL GEAR
I finished the NES version of Metal Gear a long time ago but wanted to replay this after getting it in the Metal Gear Collection. I had no idea this was different from the NES version. It plays like a limited stealth game from 40 years ago but I honestly love that. Once you get an idea of how all the mechanics work, especially that guards pretty much have a straight sight line, you can start moving pretty quickly. Thinking this game is almost 40 years old at the time of this review is pretty wild. Everything is meticulously crafted. You'll find yourself revisiting areas as you sneak around a well designed base. There's quite a bit to explore here and for a game of this generation, you rarely feel lost. You can really see the early days of the Metal Gear franchise here with some neat things newer games did. Even when MGS 1 came out, people were saying how innovative it was. There are some things the original Metal Gear did even before that. It's crazy to think how innovative this must have been for the era.
METAL GEAR 2: Solid Snake
I loved the original Metal Gear, playing it on NES years ago and now again with the different MSX version. This is my first time playing Metal Gear 2 and they seriously improve on so much. Revisiting a screen doesn't reset everything like in the original. You can't use this to collect a ton of items quickly although you can leave an area and return for the items to reappear. The big thing though is that enemies can still move around off screen and you have to pay attention to the radar to plan every move. There's a lot more story in the sequel which was all really enjoyable. They also introduced crawling which allows you to avoid loud surfaces to run on as well as crawling into vents, a staple in the Metal Gear series. It's crazy playing this and seeing just how much was re-used for Metal Gear Solid. This really feels like a 2D version of Metal Gear Solid, or should I say, Metal Gear Solid feels like a 3D version of Metal Gear 2. I loved the original Metal Gear, the sequel improves on it in every way. Playing the original Metal Gear games gave me a whole new appreciation of the Metal Gear franchise knowing this was what they were doing almost 40 years ago now. If you have any interest in retro games and enjoy stealth games, these are must plays.
“A Hind D?”
Lowkey both games are alright, It was pretty okay fun like its impressive how 2 played and some mechanics. 1 was just retro greatness. both are jankish yet masterable.
