Reviews
Really love the art style and premise but the gameplay just isn't what I wanted out of a Ace arcade shoot em up.. Fighting the controls and menus are a bigger fight than the enemies you see in game... I respect the vision but overall its left me feeling fairly disappointed but glad the developer had success with this title!
LUFTRAUSERS is a game that has a basic premise: There are an infinite number of lesser enemy ships trying to take you out, kill 'em all. To that end you have a variety of engines, hulls and weapons with which to create your death machine of choice and an endless sea and sky to wreck havoc in. A lot of people I've noticed complain about the controls, but what you have to understand about LUFTRAUSERS is that it isn't a twin stick shmup, it's high precision dance. Your pirouettes are jet-engine thrusts and your jetés punch through other fighter planes. You have complete air control because anything less and you couldn't as effectively fill the air with bullets. The soundtrack ramps up in intensity as you plow through enemies. The thrumming baseline giving way to instrumentation that changes with your loadout. Wracking up huge combos and scores there's less and less breathing room until your blown out of the sky. Regain your composure and try again. It's pure adrenaline pumping arcade fun.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Great game, as long as you don't want to 100% it, then it becomes a grindy hell slog of feeling like pure luck to even get to the point of being able to beat the last challenges.
Later challenges become a little too specific and difficult to act as motivators for continuing to play, and the game in general feels like its missing a little something otherwise to be properly fun to run just for score. The Gemsbok's video brought me here, and I'm left kinda agreeing with both his praise and his criticisms. For the price though, I definitely had a lot of fun with the first 5-6 hours I spent with this.
never ask a man his salary a woman her age a luftrausers player to kill a battleship at max combo
This arcade game is hard but it is so extremely satisfying as you learn to fly head first into your enemies like they're nothing and manage to survive when the sky is more bullet than air. You can truly feel like a flying ace! The music that adapts to what plane you have and your damage is great, its really quick to start the game and get into the action. There are some serious points of unfairness with some weapons (missiles) which makes for some brutal challenges but past that it's a game you can keep coming back to.
Worth the 2$ you can buy it for on sale, don't think it's worth it otherwise. Game is enjoyable at the beginning, then starts requesting nearly impossible tasks that aren't fun. It doesn't expand past a few upgrades and some slightly different enemies, nothing more than the one level screen, just try to get past the final boss.
LUFTRAUSERS is an arcade shooter that demonstrates how a simple premise can be transformed into a deeply engaging and highly replayable experience. Developed by Vlambeer and published by Devolver Digital, the game places players in control of a customizable fighter aircraft and drops them into an endless aerial battlefield where survival and score chasing become the primary objectives. While the concept sounds straightforward, the execution is remarkably polished, delivering a fast-paced action game that rewards skill, experimentation, and persistence. One of the game's strongest qualities is its distinctive presentation. Rather than relying on detailed visuals or realistic graphics, LUFTRAUSERS embraces a minimalist art style that uses bold colors, sharp silhouettes, and explosive visual effects to create a memorable identity. The battlefield is constantly alive with enemy aircraft, warships, and explosions, making every session feel intense even though the environment itself remains relatively simple. This artistic approach gives the game a timeless quality, allowing the action to remain the central focus without unnecessary distractions. The flight mechanics are where the game truly shines. Unlike many arcade shooters that allow unrestricted movement and constant firing, LUFTRAUSERS demands precision and awareness. Players must carefully manage their aircraft's momentum, rotation, and positioning while engaging multiple threats from every direction. Mastering movement becomes just as important as shooting, creating a satisfying learning curve that rewards dedication. Early sessions may feel challenging, but once the controls become second nature, flying through swarms of enemies and narrowly escaping destruction becomes incredibly exhilarating. A major feature highlighted by the game's design is its extensive aircraft customization system. Players can combine different weapons, engines, and body types to create a large number of unique aircraft configurations. Each component dramatically affects performance, changing how the aircraft handles, attacks, and survives. Some combinations favor aggressive combat styles, while others encourage speed, durability, or precision. This customization adds considerable strategic depth because players are constantly encouraged to experiment with new builds in order to tackle specific challenges and discover fresh ways to play. Progression is handled through an extensive mission system that provides clear goals beyond simply achieving a high score. Completing objectives unlocks additional aircraft parts, expanding the range of possible combinations available to players. The missions vary in difficulty and often encourage experimentation with different aircraft setups. This structure keeps the experience engaging over the long term, as there is always another challenge to complete or another component to unlock. The sense of progression feels meaningful because every reward has a direct impact on gameplay possibilities. Combat encounters become increasingly chaotic as enemy forces grow larger and more aggressive. Players face a variety of opponents, including fighter squadrons, heavily armored warships, airborne aces, and other dangerous threats. The game constantly escalates the pressure, forcing players to balance offense and defense. One particularly clever mechanic involves health recovery, which occurs only when the player temporarily stops firing. This creates an ongoing risk-versus-reward decision where players must choose between maintaining offensive momentum or retreating briefly to survive. The mechanic adds tension to every battle and prevents combat from becoming repetitive. Another standout feature is the soundtrack, which dynamically changes depending on the aircraft components selected by the player. Different parts contribute distinct musical layers that blend together during gameplay, creating a soundtrack that feels personalized and responsive. This innovative system strengthens the connection between customization and gameplay while making each aircraft configuration feel unique. Combined with the explosive action on screen, the audio design significantly enhances the overall atmosphere. Despite its many strengths, LUFTRAUSERS is not a game for everyone. Players seeking a story-driven experience or varied environments may find the minimalist structure limiting. The emphasis on arcade-style repetition and score improvement means the experience revolves around mastering mechanics rather than exploring narrative content. Some later missions can also become quite demanding, potentially frustrating players who prefer a more relaxed progression system. However, these issues are largely a matter of personal preference rather than fundamental flaws. What makes LUFTRAUSERS memorable is its commitment to delivering pure arcade excellence. Every design element, from the controls and customization system to the soundtrack and mission structure, supports a gameplay loop that is easy to understand but difficult to master. It successfully captures the spirit of classic arcade shooters while introducing enough modern ideas to feel fresh and distinctive. The result is a game that remains engaging long after the initial novelty wears off. For fans of action-heavy arcade shooters, LUFTRAUSERS stands as one of the finest examples of the genre. Its exceptional flight mechanics, extensive customization options, dynamic music system, and rewarding progression create an experience that consistently encourages repeated play. While its minimalist nature may not appeal to every audience, those willing to embrace its score-chasing design will discover a highly polished and addictive game that continues to impress years after its release. I would love, love, LOVE seeing the developers trying to get 25k in SFMT and show us all how it's done. Feels like it's way to unfair to the point where it might be bugged somewhere. (Looking at you, after death points that doesn't count) If they do end up succeeding this painful goal, then i'll revert my negative raiting to a positive one.
