Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 9 → 0.14/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.13/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Mayday is a wave-based sci-fi shoot 'em up where every clear makes you stronger… and weaker.
Pilot the Skylon, a prototype combat craft built to adapt on the fly. Survive enemy swarms, dodge dense projectile patterns, and wipe out targets fast—then after each wave, choose a tradeoff upgrade in a brutal triangle system: Attack lowers Defence, Defence lowers Speed, and Speed lowers Attack.
Fight through waves of enemies with escalating bullet patterns and retaliation attacks.
Clear a set number of enemies to progress through each area.
After a wave, pick a stat specialization with a downside:
Attack ↑ / Defence ↓
Defence ↑ / Speed ↓
Speed ↑ / Attack ↓
Learn enemy behaviour, build the right stat path, and survive long enough to reach each boss.
In a future where peace is protected from the shadows by the Agent Society, a rogue group, the Fallen Star Organization, is hunting a myth and trying to awaken a superweapon.
You’re deployed as Agent Mayday, linked with the Skylon’s operating system, Elizabeth, and sent into the Alyphs Quadrant to shut down the enemy bases before Nova changes everything.
Arcade Mode is pure action: no cutscenes, just continuous progression through stages of enemy waves leading to bosses if you’re here for the gameplay grind, the dodging, and the build decisions.
Wave-based shoot ’em up combat focused on dodging projectile patterns and fast clears.
A triangle stat-tradeoff upgrade system that forces real build decisions every run.
Boss fights and escalating enemy pressure as you push toward the finale.
Story Mode with cutscenes + Arcade Mode for replayable runs.
Reviews
Fun little arcade shooter with interesting enough gameplay and a passable story if a little too much is already established without the player getting to know it. Definitely worth the price however, especially considering the arcade replayable gamemode.

Developed and published by A.B. DanDan, Mayday is an independent shoot 'em up that embraces the spirit of classic arcade space shooters while introducing a progression system that encourages strategic thinking alongside quick reflexes. Instead of relying purely on overwhelming firepower or memorizing enemy patterns, the game asks players to carefully manage their ship's strengths and weaknesses through a unique upgrade system. The result is an experience that feels familiar to long-time fans of the genre while offering enough mechanical depth to make repeated runs engaging. With its retro-inspired presentation, sci-fi narrative, and emphasis on replayability, Mayday delivers a focused arcade adventure that rewards both precision and thoughtful planning. Players take control of the experimental Skylon spacecraft alongside Agent Mayday, who becomes connected to the vessel's artificial intelligence, Elizabeth. Their mission leads them into the dangerous Alyphs Quadrant, where the mysterious Fallen Star Organization seeks to activate a devastating ancient superweapon. While the story remains relatively straightforward, it succeeds in giving context to the action and provides enough motivation to tie the missions together. Story Mode presents the narrative through brief cutscenes that help establish the setting and objectives, while Arcade Mode removes those interruptions entirely for players who simply want to jump into nonstop combat and pursue higher scores through repeated attempts. Combat is where Mayday establishes its strongest identity. Battles are fast, demanding, and filled with enemy projectiles that require constant movement and sharp reactions. Rather than simply surviving each encounter, players must also prepare for the choices that follow. Every completed wave grants an upgrade, but each improvement comes with a meaningful drawback. Increasing offensive capability reduces durability, investing in stronger defenses sacrifices mobility, and boosting movement speed limits raw damage output. This constant balancing act prevents any single strategy from becoming universally dominant and forces players to adapt throughout every run. It is an elegant mechanic that adds tactical depth without overcomplicating the straightforward arcade gameplay. The visual presentation embraces a nostalgic pixel art style that complements the game's old-school inspirations. Spaceships, enemy designs, and futuristic environments maintain a clean appearance that keeps the screen readable even during the most chaotic firefights. The effects are colorful without becoming distracting, allowing players to focus on dodging incoming attacks while tracking enemy movement. Combined with energetic sound effects and a fitting electronic soundtrack, the audiovisual presentation captures the excitement of classic arcade shooters while maintaining enough polish to feel modern. Responsive controls further enhance the experience, making failures feel like learning opportunities rather than the result of awkward mechanics. Replay value is another area where Mayday performs well. Since upgrade selections significantly alter the capabilities of the Skylon, each playthrough encourages experimentation with different approaches. Some runs may favor aggressive offensive builds that eliminate enemies quickly but leave little room for mistakes, while others prioritize survivability or speed to overcome more difficult attack patterns. Boss encounters become especially interesting because they test whether the chosen balance of strengths and weaknesses can withstand increasingly demanding battles. This dynamic progression system makes repeated sessions enjoyable, rewarding players who refine both their mechanical skills and their decision-making over time. Mayday is intentionally compact in scope, and players expecting a lengthy campaign or an abundance of unlockable content may find its overall package somewhat modest. However, the game remains focused on delivering satisfying arcade action rather than stretching its content unnecessarily. Its greatest achievement lies in combining traditional shoot 'em up gameplay with an upgrade system that consistently creates meaningful choices, giving every run its own identity. Fans of retro-inspired shooters, bullet hell challenges, and replay-driven arcade games will likely find plenty to appreciate in its carefully designed gameplay loop. Mayday successfully blends classic arcade shooting with a thoughtful progression system that rewards smart decision-making as much as fast reflexes. Although its scope is relatively modest, its engaging mechanics, replayability, polished presentation, and satisfying difficulty make it a worthwhile experience for enthusiasts of the shoot 'em up genre.
we need chinese!!!
星舰穿梭弹雨中,取舍之间命悬空♥
