i had fun playing luck be a landlord, but it's hard to recommend this at the pricepoint it comes at and with how simplistic the overall gameplay is. i wish there was a bit more synergy / cohesion in some of the systems (like the ore/fruits build really rely on one single character to make or break it once you really get started) so that you didn't feel bottlenecked into a certain strategy. maybe this is me being grouchy and complaining about rng in a game built around rng, but overall just not for me.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

mindless fun taken to hyperbole in the nicest way possible: wait for this to hit the dollar menu, there is no way it's a ten dollar game unless you're comparing to what it would cost to be in proximity to a real slot machine irl
8/10 I think this game sort of began a genre I really enjoy, and for that reason, I respect it a lot. There's a lot hidden behind the simplicity of it, which I appreciate greatly. People who love to dive into games like this and try every little option will love it.
Luck be a Landlord scratches that same itch as Balatro but with slot machine mechanics — you're building a chaotic engine of symbols that interact in surprisingly clever ways, watching chickens lay eggs that hatch more chickens while your dopamine spikes with each spin. The runs are short enough that losing never feels devastating, which makes the 'just one more' loop dangerously effective. That said, the strategy leans more toward adapting to whatever the RNG hands you rather than executing a deliberate plan, so if you're hoping to engineer a perfect build from scratch, you'll often be disappointed. The UI could use some polish — knowing at a glance what synergies you're working with would go a long way — and the 186 achievements are mostly out of your hands. Still, for the price (especially on sale), it's a genuinely fun little gamble-brained roguelike that clearly laid the groundwork for a whole genre.
One of the better indie games revolving around gambling. Starts off simple with only a few basic symbols, then quickly gets chaotic with the inclusion of funny symbol interactions, (bears eating honey symbols, bounty hunters killing targets for cash, etc) passive items that may or may not break the entire run, (in a fun way) and new difficulties that make you think more and more as you progress. And for all my fellow achievement hunters, theres plenty to go around, and not just the basic "unlock this and that." No, these achievements actually require you to think and gather items that typically wouldnt go together to accomplish a goal. Totally worth the small price, 10/10 cant recommend enough Not to mention, the dude who made it is chill as hell, bro even autographed the plush I ordered from the store lol
心流体验蛮不错,三两天打到了20层
