Update: I now felt three days bad because I gave this game a thumbs down. It is not what I wanted, but it is a nice game, so I'll just change it to thumbs up and leave the rest of the review as it was. -------- I really hate to vote down for this game but: [h1]The Bad[/h1] [list] [*] You do NOT manage a cafe! [*] You just cook a meal, then you are allowed to put it on the list of 10 menu items. [*] Your staff does all the work. You can help, but don't have to. [*] Your job is to run around collect random ingredients. [*] Perhaps later comes more, but for now, that is it. [*] It's not what I want to use my free time for. [/list] [h1]The Good[/h1] [list] [*] Nice graphics [*] Nice music [*] Child friendly [*] Easy to use [/list] [h1]Final words[/h1] I read some posts about problems with loading screens, I have to say, I never really realized the loading screen until I saw these posts. But even from a hard disk it only was like 2 seconds. Tried a SSD, did not change anything noticeable. I think: with a modern system you don't have to think about these screens. This is a slow game for people who don't want to fight and win and be better than others. It is peaceful and you don't have to decide on anything. Perhaps for some people exactly what they are looking for? The reason I vote down is: From the description I expected to manage a cafe. You don't do that here. Not really.

[b]I bought the game with a big 80% discount directly on Steam[/b] So far so good. (I'm very early-game.) The graphics are really weird, but there [i]is[/i] an artistic touch to everything. I like the "pen and paper" feel of everything. It reminds me of the filter applied in [i]This War of Mine[/i] (obviously 100% unrelated 😆). I bought the game for cheap on PS4, then I noticed it was discounted on PC. I mostly played on PC and it's OK. Just look at the PC Gaming Wiki entry if you want an overview of the PC settings. I think everyone interested at least a little bit by this game should buy this game at 80% discount. 80% should be a no-brainer. Seriously, I think that the regular price tag is [i]not[/i] that expensive, considering the artistry and the people behind the game. That being said, very early in the game, the English localization tells us to explore the café in order to find fragments of recipes (that's a thing...), yet the fragments are in outdoor... ... I don't know whether that's a localization error or the error is also present in japanese. 🤔

really great game super cute and fun, i could play for hours and i really like how you can customize the recipes to make them better and to progress through the story. However, I hate Rosetta that's all. someone make a mod for her to say sorry thanks! i wish you could get alternate outfits bc this game looks like there should be cute outfits involved edit: after playing the full game i cried our little dragon grew up so much im still so frustrated with the cafe workers but i do it for the lil guy
