Reviews
This game looks and sounds really good. The puzzles are overall a bit bland and slow. A lot of walking around and talking to characters, not so much actual puzzle solving.
Very pretty and relaxing! Cozy, cute, and a bit silly. It is a short game, even with achievements, but that's not a bad thing as long as you don't mind it If you're sensitive to constant quick motion, there is a section of the game that might be difficult for you. At some point you'll be interacting with a group of fairies, and their wings are constantly moving.

This is a quirky little retake on the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. Quite delightful. It's not a long game but it should keep you entertained throughout. It's also lovely to look at.
A nice little puzzle game with stained glass graphics, which give it a unique and more whimsical feel. Whenever you fail a puzzle, your prince is transformed into some creature and you pick up from the same spot with a new prince, which is an interesting feature. The puzzles are usually pretty simple, but sometimes it's not clear what to do. Overall, it was a good experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Little Briar Rose is an enchanting journey into a fairy tale wonderland that has stolen my heart! 🌹 From the charming art style reminiscent of stained glass windows to the delightful characters, this game is an absolute gem that radiates warmth and magic. The story unfolds like a classic fairy tale, and playing as the valiant hero in this beautifully crafted world feels like stepping into a storybook. The attention to detail in the hand-drawn visuals is awe-inspiring, creating a whimsical atmosphere that kept me captivated from beginning to end. The puzzle-solving in Little Briar Rose is cleverly designed, striking a perfect balance between challenge and accessibility. Each puzzle feels like a piece of the fairy tale, and the satisfaction of unraveling the mysteries is pure joy. The game encourages exploration, and hidden surprises await around every corner, adding to the sense of wonder. The music is a magical companion throughout the journey, setting the perfect tone for the fairy tale adventure. It's soothing when it needs to be and triumphant during key moments, enhancing the overall immersive experience. What truly sets Little Briar Rose apart is its heartwarming charm. The characters, from the courageous protagonist to the whimsical inhabitants of the world, are endearing and brought a smile to my face. The game's lighthearted nature makes it perfect for players of all ages, and its innocence is a refreshing break from the intensity of other titles. Little Briar Rose is a fairy tale dream come true. It's a testament to the magic of storytelling and the joy of exploration. If you're looking for a game that combines puzzle-solving with a heartwarming narrative in a visually stunning package, look no further. Little Briar Rose is a delightful experience that will leave you feeling like you've stepped into a world where dreams come true. 🌟🏰

A spin on the story of Sleeping Beauty, it is more focused on the brave prince seeking to enter the bramble forest and undo the princess' curse than on the events before or after. By which I mean do not expect an epic showdown with a dragon or much in the way of actual narrative. Little Briar Rose is relatively short, it only took me 3-4 hours to complete it. Some of that was spent being stuck on the last few maze puzzles, along with the extremely tedious fishing minigame. As I understand it the game was originally for mobile phones before being ported to PC, and it shows. While the stained-glass visuals are just stunning, and a big part of what caught my eye originally, the minigames/puzzles all feel very touchscreen oriented. This is especially noticeable in both the fishing and sewing minigames which ask for movement/response time that a mouse generally doesn't offer. The sewing minigame becomes faster and faster, with the little icons you pop not staying on screen long enough to both register and move your cursor to in a timely fashion - which wouldn't be as much of an issue on a touchscreen but I'd still call them out on it. The fishing minigame has the fish darting around frantically and it becomes very difficult to keep the cursor on the fish; expect it to just wildly flail around so much that you lose the fish almost immediately at times. And you will because you're required to fish at least 4-5 times. The rest of the game does not feature quick-paced gameplay, being your usual "in your own time" where you select from choices or giving items to someone. Well, not quite. There is a cooking minigame but compared to the other two you can practically sleep through this one. The game's main gimmick which both caught me by surprise and I found rather amusing is that failing some objectives or upsetting people (usually at the same time) will cause the curse to transmogrify the prince into an inhabitant of the forest, requiring a new prince to step forwards and announce his intention to break the curse. The little green fairy jovially going "oh boy another prince has has appeared!" because this apparently happens all the time. Just a little existential horror for you in this delightful kid-friendly game. No, really, it's adorable and while a child might be hung up on some of the puzzles, or the need to talk to the NPCs repeatedly to move forwards, it's something a parent could play with their kid no problem. I include that mainly cause I sometimes see that question pop up for games like this. I do think it's rather short, but it's currently only $5 at full price so it's not that bad.
can't recommend this game mainly because the fishing game is unplayable, unskippable and you can't progress the game without beating it.
