Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 16 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Short point-and-click adventure with 3d characters, decors and objects made out of paper. It's what makes the game unique and its claim to fame. Hence the title, Papetura. Despite all the handcrafting, the process does involve computers and it's explained in the second video of the store page. Papetura is like Machinarium or Samorost 3 but simpler and shorter. What does that mean? Environmental puzzles where you interact with what you see on screen, no inventory and no dialogues. There's a lot of "shooting" stuff around, though. The graphics are splendid with an emphasis on yellows, oranges and beiges. The music is graceful, kind of ethereal and suits the moments. It took me around 1h45 to complete with two hints used, including one by mistake, so be careful about that.
There is a peculiar friction at the heart of Papetura—and I mean that almost literally. You are interacting with a world made of glue, cardboard, and firelight, yet your only tool is the cold, glassy indifference of a mouse cursor. This is a game that begs to be touched, to have its textured surfaces brushed by a human finger, and instead, we are reduced to pointing and clicking. It feels almost cruel. And yet, that very distance is what makes the experience so achingly lovely. You are not a participant in this world; you are a spectator granted the illusion of agency, gently nudging a nameless scrap of paper through a diorama that breathes with the delicate terror of being one misplaced candle away from ash. And that scrap is no insect—no winged creature with compound eyes or instinct. It is a fragment, a leftover, an offcut from some larger sheet, animated not by life but by a draft we pretend to control. Its anonymity is its entire vocabulary. We project onto it our own fragile desire to cross a room without folding, to pass a flame without igniting. It is, in the most literal sense, a blank page—and we are the trembling hand that dares to write on it. It is impossible to discuss Papetura without invoking the spectre of Amanita Design, and to its immense credit, the game wears that influence not as a hand-me-down, but as a conversation. Where Machinarium felt mechanistic and Samorost whimsically surreal, Papetura leans into a more elemental anxiety—the anxiety of fragility. The puzzles, as you have noted, are remarkably slight; they are less about cognitive wrangling and more about rhythmic discovery. You are not solving a labyrinth; you are simply finding the right sequence to coax a lullaby out of a silent world. The brevity is not a concession to mobile gaming or a lack of ambition; it is an aesthetic decision of the highest order. A paper story cannot unfold for two hours without creasing under its own weight. Papetura is almost insultingly easy. It dares you to be bored by its simplicity, and if you are, the failure is entirely yours. Because the "game" is not the puzzle; the game is the looking. Every frame is a meticulously staged still life that knows it will be dismantled the moment you click forward. It is a work of art that is actively hostile to the speed-runner, rewarding instead the person who lingers on a single screen just to watch the embers flicker against a corrugated sky. It is short because it must be. It is easy because difficulty would shatter the spell. In a medium obsessed with systems and mechanics, Papetura dares to be nothing more than a beautiful, fleeting thought—and in its ephemerality, it becomes unforgettable. You finish it, you blink, and you realise you have just spent an hour shepherding a faceless shard of cardboard through a museum of matchsticks and tissue, and you are desperately, inexplicably moved. That is not a game. That is an origami crane folded just for you—and already, it is drifting away on the wind.
Sevdim ♥
Papetura feels like playing through a handmade paper fairy tale. The visuals are stunning, the atmosphere is cozy and mysterious, and every scene looks like a tiny work of art. The music fits perfectly too, adding so much emotion and charm to the adventure. It's only 2 hours and I recommend it.
The effort put into this game is truly terrific This kind of artistry can never be replaced by AI
Cool game. Beautifully made. A bit short at 2 hours and there's very little replay value: No alternate ending, no hidden achievements, absolutely no dialogue and a very simple story that doesn't offer any new insights on a 2nd playthrough. The price is VERY CHEAP though. Not even a fraction of what you pay for a ticket to a 2 hour movie these days. Also, it's made by only one guy, which is impressive.
PAPETURA
CARACAAAAAAA!!!
