LEGO® Harry Potter: Years 1-4

Just what you'd expect from a lego harry potter title. It's a lot of fun. They do a good job condensing the story and making it flow, though you wouldn't have a clue what's going on without reading the books or seeing the movies (it follows the movies). Unlike most LEGO games I've played, especially older ones like this, the levels are rather short, and quite creative, given the source material at times. You spend a lot of time in the main hub, aka Hogwarts Castle, which feels like several levels in itself. I got Metroid vibes since you need to learn new spells to unlock more areas of the castle. It's quite humorous at times. They're more generous with studs and unlockables are easily obtainable early on, which makes everything feel less tedious. If you're a fan of Harry Potter and LEGO games, this is a must play. Or if you're curious about LEGO games and have never played one, this is a good starting point. There are definitely flaws, the worst of which is your character always prioritizes targeting fellow students instead of the things you actually want to use a spell on, but its all manageable.
