About
Darkness descends over the world of Nostria. Conspiracies, sabotage, and necromancy are overshadowing the country. But maybe a saviour – the kingdom's last hope – is already here, to fight back and finally restore peace and order in Nostria!
King’s Bounty II is the long-awaited sequel to the legendary King’s Bounty video games franchise, one of the most iconic representatives of the turn-based RPG genre. Expanding on this legacy with an entirely new epic story, factions, enemies, and new features to forge an open and breaking fantasy world Antara. With the kingdoms in disarray, counties demanding independence, bandits prowl the roads, all the overseas nations have denied the King’s authority over them, and blighted creatures lie in wait for the unwary, new accidental heroes emerge as a last hope.
They are determined to bring order to the chaos. Play as one of them, recruiting, developing, and commanding your personal army on a non-linear adventure of betrayal, sacrifice, and survival. Fighting for your own future, outsmarting enemy in uniquely turn-based combat, making difficult decisions, and experience the intensity of one of the classic sagas in an exciting new way.
Play as one of three main heroes, rescuing and building your personal army in a journey of leadership, survival, and sacrifice. Every decision you make has profound and lasting consequences.
The world of Antara is wide open and ripe for exploration. Unearth hidden places and dangerous enemies — Antara is a vast home to a thousand wonders and secrets for players to discover.
Each army squad has its own set of skills and visual appearance. Build armies of different creatures who will fight with you throughout the majority of your adventure.
The environment and landscape matter in King’s Bounty II. Players will encounter diverse terrain types, directly impacting battlefield tactics. Every battle is unique in its own way.

I played for about 42 hours and enjoyed it. I'm not sure why all the negative reviews as the game is quite fun. I have played all of the previous King's Bounty games. Sure, this one is definitely different in look and play style but the core idea of turn based combat is the same. The game does seem geared to you playing as a mage. I took the paladin route and was able to complete the game albeit on the easy setting. I almost always pick the easy setting as I just want to enjoy games without too much frustration. I could probably have also completed it on normal. For me, the game was a bit surreal as walking around in third person mode you knew there wasn't any danger. Such a change from most third person action games where missteps can cause instant fights. With this game, if you don't want to fight something, you just retreat and come back later when you are stronger. Most battles are over in three rounds. I found the graphics very nice and the music fits well. The voice acting is a bit of a hit or miss. Some of the lines did have me chuckling. Controls are easy to use. I used an XBox controller without any issue. The game does run a bit sluggish sometimes but nothing terrible. I feel overall the game was quite a positive experience. It goes on sale constantly (sometimes 90%). It is also usually part of a bundle (like I got). It seems to have an unfairly number of negative reviews as expectations were not met but on its own, it is worth picking up and playing.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So i normally write positive reviews and if i don't like a game i just set it aside, however there are certain games the require proper reviewing. If you played any of the previous kings bounty games this will be a monumental disappointment. It's nice to see changes to a game series, but as we as gamers tend to see commonly lazy changes or fundamental changes tend to make a game not fun. The controls from the previous games where spot on even though they where simple. This game has really poorly made controls that make the game very unfun to play. What i mean is if you walk or ride the horse you will notice cluncky movement. Battle combat was really limited unlike the previous games, you bought troops and you fought enemies that had a high likelihood off kill off a majority of your army. And amusing enough the void enemies where more annoying to fight due to one spell... Taunt, and they would cast that like it was cake needing eating. This means if you where engaged with another unit they taunted you from across the screen causing area control attacks(meaning free attack from everyone you pass) the worse of this was it included flying units. meaning if the fly unit was flying past a ground unit oh no you take an attack. The ranged units in this game where lame, While they supported ground units they tended to get attacked due to almost half of the battles in the game there was at least one or more units that could cross the map in turn one. Spells ugh bad idea to lock them behind a magic wall, you couldn't learn certain spells unless you where a mage, which is one of 4 different aspects you can level, more then that the really good spells require total dedication to it meaning your army is locked small and you get whooped hard. I still wanted to have something positive to say but the end of the game was the straw that broke the camels back. While the voice acting was novice level which is ok, and the script was a little lame not to spoil the game for anyone but the worse is you beat a major enemy to the story and the story ends very stupid with basically a to be continued. If you never played the previous Kings bounties maybe you will like this title but honestly i felt they did a very lazy job. To many game developers feel that graphical beauty is most important but we know that gameplay is what makes a person enjoy the game. It can be a pretty game but if it isnt fun then what is the point.
Its a pretty game, I like the world. It has awful voice acting and character progression My main frustration is it keeps losing my saves and I don't have it in me anymore to replay the same bits
funny how buying a £43 game for £2 off a key site still feels like a waste of money.
Charming, relaxing and fun I really don't understand many of the bad reviews, it's not a perfect game and should probably only be about £20 at most, but the game is really enjoyable. It's like an adventure RPG mixed with turn based strategy. It plays well, looks nice and has an old school feel to it - feels almost like Fable mixed with Heroes of Might and Magic, with slightly less polish. I didn't pay full price, but I'm more than happy with what I got and even bought the DLC to show my appreciation. Certainly deserves more love.
As a fan of the series, using a CD of "King's Bounty: The Legend" on my mothers laptop and being my first videogame I finished and just kept replaying at least 50 times by now, this game just feels a bit empty like a shell with nothing on the inside, the original provided unmatched replayability, played this one once and dropped it after seeing that the encounters stay exactly the same.
4/10 + story + voice acting + tiny side stories - actual combat gameplay...its awful.... i hate having to re up your army after every single fight... spend 3+ minutes tracking back to a recruiting area. - cool they killed my entire party in one turn. cool... coool cool cool....cool cool....coool.....
How unfortunate, believe the reviewers! I love Kings Bounty games, my favorite is Darkside! But this is just awful, the 'openworld rpg' is just visual with nothing to offer, nothing is interactable, very little to pick up, linear paths without choice, this game advertises itself as a crossover between Kings Bounty and Elder Scrolls but it fails to do either, the combat system is nothing like the typical KB series and falls flat. There's a reason the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" exists.
