About

The world is dead. The state has collapsed. In a forgotten Eastern Bloc town, you are alone but not truly alone. Something stirs beyond the walls, and none of it means you well. You have only one reason to keep going: survive long enough to find your wife, Valeria. But in the cold and darkness of this unforgiving night, will you ever make it back to her?

In the hellish streets of this Eastern Bloc town, every bullet matters. There are ways to fight back, but survival demands more than firepower. Use the weapons at your disposal to clear a path, scavenge tools to overcome the obstacles ahead, and avoid unnecessary confrontations whenever you can.

Iron Blight aims to deliver an immersive gameplay experience built around atmosphere, vulnerability, and the crushing weight of isolation. Every bullet matters, and the sound of gunfire may draw even more horrors to your position. Even something as simple as opening a locked door demands thought. You must manage your food and medical supplies, move cautiously through the streets, and always consider what might be waiting around the next corner.
True Survival Horror Gameplay: Navigate desolate streets and claustrophobic interiors, where danger lurks around every corner. Solve puzzles and face the terrors that will force a choice: fight, flee, or die.
Resource Scarcity and Tension: Resources are scarce. Do you risk using your last bullet to take down a monster, or do you save it for a more critical moment and hope to slip past unnoticed?
Diegetic Grid-Based Inventory: Every single item matters, and space is a luxury you can't afford. Carefully manage your limited inventory grid, making agonizing choices about what to carry and what to leave behind.
No HUD, No Distractions: No health bars, no ammo counters, no intrusive menus. Every piece of information is conveyed through your character and the world around you. Your only interface is your own perception.
A Unique Weapon System: Check your magazines manually, round by precious round, and reload with deliberate, step-by-step actions. Every firefight becomes a tense test of your nerves and skill.
A Bleak and Oppressive Atmosphere: Rain-slick cobblestones and flickering fluorescent lights lead you deeper into a town that feels cold, hostile, and suffocating. The distant cries of things that should not exist echo through its desolate streets.
A Return to Forgotten Horror Traditions: Fear comes from the atmosphere, the gnawing uncertainty, and the constant presence of death. The story is told through the environment itself, and combat is a slow, methodical dance where every shot matters.

Nice RE-like
Amazing game. They nailed the atmosphere, and the combat is very well-paced, making it fun while still retaining a sense of realistic gunplay. First chapter was very linear, but the second chapter was much more open and bigger. It’s like 4–5 short levels slapped into one with the Apartments area ending up being my favorite. Despite being short-ish, it just feels very meaty as a whole and gives a very immersive experience. Definitely worth the money.

insanely good game, unrealistic for a eastern European game though because my character didn't smoke 24/7
RNG for shooting your gun in a survival horror is a novel idea, however, it is a bad idea. Not really interested in having my gun regularily jam when split second action is the difference between life and death. Youre really going to have multiple rabid zombies rush the player in a cramped space then punish the player for firing rapidly? Big Nope! Uninstalled.
Pretty solid short survival game. Wish it was bit longer. Not too difficult is you're a cautious player. Really love the gun play and reloading mechanics. Love the open area exploration. Feels really fresh for a game in this genre. Would love too see more missions or level in this game or something similar from the dev. Personally I think its worth the money. Especially if its on sale. Solid 8/10.
Iron Blight is a wonderful little indie project that I had a pleasure of getting my hands on these past few days - one that is by no means perfect, yet full of soul, attention to detail, punchy combat, and genuine effort that makes this Action Horror title a must have for indie horror fans.
What I enjoyed [Visuals]: - The crunchy low poly visuals, that have a sense of cohesion (trust me visual cohesion is something many low-poly indie games fail to accomplish). - Sound design, punchy, crunchy, full of creaks, foreboding ambience and other interesting bits. - The minimal approach to hud, health and ammunition. - The weaponry, that draws on uniquely Russian designs that I rarely see in games. From the more common TT pistol to the obscure OTS bolt action rifles and revolvers. - I like how the world itself looks and feels, as we move through abandoned streets and housing complexes, railways and construction sites of this small, almost idyllic little town, now suspended in a single, dreadful moment. - I respect just how much creativity the devs took with the monsters without veering into full on science fiction territory. Very much L4D2 with its "special" infected. [Gameplay - Played on the hardest difficulty - which I believe is what it should be played on]: - I love my hardcore reloading systems. Magazines fly out with unfired bullets still in them, making each fight a tense balancing act between one's positioning, accuracy, and reserves of ammunition. Each mag needs to be manually checked, and the bullet count kept in mind. - You rock bolts, pump shotguns, ♥♥♥♥ hammers of certain weapons after each shot, making every round count. - The gunplay feels solid, the weapons feel powerful, get the job done, and are spaced out just well enough for one to get excited upon acquiring a new piece of hardware. Beware though, they can and usually do jam during critical moments, a reminder that you're powerful - yes, but you will always be always be just vulnerable enough to never get cocky. - The zombies provide a good challenge, coming in different varieties that only grows as the story progresses. Almost none of them felt cheap to fight, and they did force me to vary up my tactics/gear of approach on quite a few occasions. - The ammunition seems to be peppered around in quite a balanced way, though in certain locations I was almost left with nothing to fend myself with, so it could use just a little bit of tweaking. - The mini open world was amazing! I love when a game just gives me a sandbox to play around in, and freedom to explore at my leisure. - I love that you health through traditional Russian food. - I got a kick out of small details like interractable faucets, stoves, cars, etc. Little touches that make the world feel alive. - 7 hours for a small indie game is quite a nice playtime-per-value paid deal!. - You have a Sparta Kick, come on! What I did not enjoy. - The infection meter. An annoying yellow halo that was a blatant bother that never amounted to anything relevant throughout my 7 hours of gametime. It was just there, and you should just uncheck it in the menu. The game is hard as is on Hardcore. - The tools felt sort of redundant? You have lockpicks, hammers, electric batteries that don't get any use outside of a select few instances in level 2 of the game. Perhaps, they could have been used for players to interact with the world in small ways, like setting up traps or something else. - Horde fights feel fun, but I think they always have maybe 2-3 too many zombies in them, with the game's slowness being a thing, they sort of feel like they outstay their welcome. - The game is good, but it could use just a little more diversity in its set pieces. - The checkpoint system is quite decent but: 1. Due to the open-ish world, they seem to be occasionally spaced far apart, with me sometimes losing upwards of 10 minutes of progress on death. Sometimes, checkpoints trigger without me even knowing, or an already triggered checkpoint triggers again. The area right outside of "Kuvalda" hunting grounds comes to mind. I wasted 30 minutes there dying and reloading checkpoints and such. - I also think that the apartments began blending together a bit too much, with the samey assets and all, especially when I reached the towers. Iron Blight could have definitely used a bit more visual variety of interiors. - The only way you can top off your magazine if you're running low on ammo, is picking a partially empty mag the second it hits the floor. I think the game should allow you to "unload" a gun in your inventory and then reload it with a full mag. but this isn't a problem as long as you have ammo on hand. - The lifts can get stuck if there are shell casings in them. - There is no jumping for some reason. - The melee feels very iffy with the range and accuracy, definitely the game's weakest aspect. All in all, I thank the devs for the copy of the game, and I think it is a genuinely worthwhile experience for the fans of Action horror games. It is crafted with care, heart and passion, and it absolutely shows! I'd say it is a good 7/10 that will most certainly be a worthy addition to your library! I for sure will be replying this throughout the coming years. Cheers, Seb.
More than worth its price tag. The game is extremely well deigned and the environments are very Unsettling. This game is like if cry if fear and resident evil had a baby.

Great game would recommend for people who like a short zombie story game
