this game is spooky, difficult and quite fun. ive had my issues with the game but overall i really really like it. ive put 17 hours into it in 3 days though so thats obvious. NGL though ive not payed much attention to the lore lol.

This right here is what got me into VR shooting and looting, it was literally my game of the year when i first played it and i just couldn't get enough. The progression starts with you just wielding a small PM pistol, shooting zombie like creatures and as you progress further into the game: Your guns get bigger, you're no longer facing those same zombies but up against a literal army as you work your way through the Anomalous zones. But its not just the monsters you have to look out for, you have to carefully navigate around anomalies that will tear you apart in seconds. The game-play loop is ADDICTING and found myself (even after completing the story) going back out and looting more guns, artefacts, treasures, ammo, etc. Completing more missions, getting more money, trying out new guns and coming back to base to sort out everything you bring home. There's lots of different tidbits of lore spread around, and it even has story during the tutorial. When you get enough of the main vanilla game you can go on nexusmods and expand the game even further, many modders have created even MORE guns and items you can use and even a stalker based game-play mode or just improve the overall QoL of the game. A must buy for any VR users out there, especially if you're into games like Stalker. (probably going to wind up playing through this again, there's been even more weapons added)

A great game with an amazing artstyle, the optimization is really good for a VR game. A dark and special atmosphere sending chills down your spine with some story scattered around. The guns are amazing and the attention to detail is wonderful. I played most of it on the oculus mode instead of steamvr because it caused quite a bit of issues. (this caused it to not add to my steam hours.) Normal price is really great for a game like this. Especially on sale.

Very good game, only got 37 hours in it so far but it seems as i am almost done with the story, the base game has so much to offer. They did such an amazing job with the snipers which just so happens to be my favorite category in weaponry. I suggest you buy the first game before the second only because this one is polished and has no bugs while the second game in in early access still.
