What a beautiful game: the atmosphere, the world, the weapons are amazing, and the customization of the experience to the small details is a huge plus: you can go from a "run&gun" gameplay to the hardest survival game (and everything in between). Absolutely recommended. This is one of the best "Zone games", those set in Eastern dystopian worlds (which I love so much): https://youtu.be/P7Qrs6zaQug

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pains me to leave a bad review for this game, but the coop framerate is unplayable for the host once you get so far. It seems to have a massive hardware underutilization issue (maybe the core codebase is designed for Quest standalone). I see CPU usage of below 13% and GPU usage below 24% during the unplayable frame drops, and i'm well over the recommended specs UPDATE: 06/07. Nothing has really changed with the recent updates, the underlying issues are still there. I have now updated my cpu to a 9850x3D (from a 13900k) too, with best gaming CPU/GPU on the market and still you'll only get 50fps when hosting in certain areas To make things worse, the most recent 'performance' updated focused on dumbing down the graphics rather than fixing the issues. The forests have been thinned out, and the draw distances massively reduced in the problem areas. I'm seeing objects/loot pop in within 2-3 meters now. Taking this approach rather than addressing the underlying issues causing the problems (netcode and low cpu/gpu usage) is worrying
it good
I have followed this game from its very first Announcement when they said that there was going to be a 2nd game coming along; all the way through to 1.0 and I can confidently say that I have gotten my moneys worth out of this game AND MORE. You can very easily tell these developers poured their love, sweat, tears (and lots community feedback) into this game over the course of its 2 year development cycle and it really shows. - The GAMEPLAY LOOP and WEAPON CUSTOMIZATION are both genuinely addicting with you going into the radius to carry out missions where you either complete main priority missions OR complete smaller missions to build up your security points to THEN get more main priority missions to progress the main story. this was always super fun even when the game first went into Open early access. The gunplay is super satisfying and i could talk about it all day; the way you snap each bullet into a magazine and it plays some very satisfying clicking noises when each bullet goes into a mag is satisfying enough on its own! The amount of customization and attachment's you can put on one gun can honestly make this game contender for VR game of 2026 on its own since its super cool and deep, I cant even think of another VR game that even has a fraction of the customization this game comes with its that good. the only other game I can compare the gun customization to is Escape from Tarkov and that really says a lot of good things about this game. if anything the weapon customization should set the president for how VR games should build their systems around weapons since it really is a revolutionary feat that should be marveled by everyone who plays or develops VR games for a living and CM Games has pulled it off super well. 100/10 you have to experience it for yourself there is no other way to express it. - The STORY is kind of take-it-or-leave-it for me but is still pretty interesting as it picks up about 12-20 years after the events of the 1st game and the story behind that game is a lot better than this game.. but I digress its still pretty good. 6/10 here it could honestly be better but I'm not complaining. - The ENEMIES and ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN is honestly SUPER astounding for an UE5 VR game; since I know from experience that this game has had to undergo A LOT of optimization to get it running smoothly. The enemy design reflects this very well as they are super highly detailed with duplicating mag pouches and weapons that have 3-4 magazines in their model to give off the feeling that these guns have really been altered by the radius. the enemies are also honest to god scary with their almost human-like Voicelines and movement patterns that make you feel as if you are fighting real living beings that seem almost human looking. The environments are honestly amazing and look like they were pulled straight out of a real life soviet town/woods somewhere. its all super humanizing and helps to build the feeling that this place was once lived in and is now very derelict and abandoned since the pechorsk anomaly wiped everyone out except for the lucky few like you. 10/10 on both ends here. All in all this game can honestly get you your moneys worth and WAYYY more if you put the amount of dedication that I put in when it comes to this title. you should also buy this game for a couple Freind's if you can since this game also comes pre-packed with CO-OP. and makes the game even better to experience with Freind's by your side. honestly get this game and try it for yourself it definitely is worth the 40$ and it goes on sale semi-regularly so be sure to puck it up especially if you Wishlist this game for a later date when it does go on sale. That's it from me and have fun exploring the radius! - SparkySkull249, Veteran ITR1/2 player
This game is absolutely amazing and saying I'm not having a great time would be a lie, but the major reason I bought the game was for the multiplayer. The multiplayer is still a glitchy mess, I spent 3 hours trying to play co-op for it to be entirely pointless because of all the bugs causing stupid deaths and missions to be glitched and unable to be completed, such a huge waste of time. You have to pray every time you load up the game that you'll have a smooth run. It really is unfortunate because this is everything I've wanted in a vr game but with how unstable the multiplayer is, it really just isn't worth it if that's what you're buying the game for.
A really good VR shooter/survival game. Been trying the 4 player mode in beta and it's been a blast getting to play ITR with the lads even with the bugs, unlike the first game which was solo only (First one was still good though). My only complaint for the main branch of the game is that the performance needs a little work. Also the 4 player beta is kinda unstable, though expected as it's a beta. Beta has crashes, slow loading times, and bugs like sometimes not being able to put your backpack on or holster items, whereas the singleplayer campaign works fine in the beta and I haven't experienced any issues with it. The devs have said they know about the performance issues and they're working on fixing it in their latest devlog, so should hopefully run better in future. But even though the performance isn't great and there's bugs in the 4 player beta, i'm still enjoying it and would strongly recommend it.
