GAMEPLAY Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is a good point and click game, and a cartoony adventure of Indiana Jones. Almost all the objects are sitting in plain sight yet you need to discover the creative, non-sensical ways that the game has you combine items with your environment to escape situations. There are quite a few maze-like sections such as Caves, Lava Doors, Atlantis temples that help if you a draw a map out to remember where to go. There are some movement games such as landing an air balloon, running a camel around, or a car chase, that don't need a lot of gamer skill but are a little quirky to control. There were probably like 15 or so harder to discover, "ah ha" moments of the game where you feel like you finally see what to do or where to go, rather than just clicking everywhere, and I enjoyed those moments. A bonus design is that your character cannot fall off ledges as some other point and click adventures sometimes have, and the game respectably gives you a fair warning to get you out of danger. INDEFINITE My biggest issue with this game is that it has a few indefinite qualities and randomness that made it feel too loose. After playing the game I am reading that some objects like the Plato book can be in three various places; no wonder the puzzles felt indefinite like I was doing a lot without result. There are rotating disks puzzles that made me groan every time they occurred, because the supposed "clues" from the book of Plato barely lined up the puzzle, and I would resort to trying every combination. Central to the game are special magic beads that you need to apply to select places, but later you can actually run out of beads if you try them on the wrong places. Although you can replenish the beads, I don't know why they made this special item CONSUMABLE, and the game does not even tell you how many you have in your "handful of beads". During the beginning of the game, after you use objects, the game kindly repicks them up for you if you need them again. Later in the game it stops repicking up items, and you need to backtrack to far away rooms to re-pick up items that you used. THREE PATHS The game has three alternate paths (Teams, Fists, and Wits-which I choose) that give the game a variety of methods to pass areas, and each has an alternate area(s) to explore. I thought this variety of paths was confusing as some areas in the game would not yield results. I spent a lot of time at The Dig Site and confusingly could not find anything to further my adventure, so I do not know if this had to do with various game path logic. A handful of objects in this game felt under utilized or you wastefully carry them through the rest of the game and continue to try them everywhere to no avail. Perhaps there are more options i missed but it made some parts feel confusing and not definite. GOOD ENOUGH I enjoyed this game enough because I was looking for an Indiana Jones story and was willingly to be patient with some of the trial and error style of gameplay. It ended up to be a decent adventure with enough fair puzzles to rack your brain, and with enough creative solutions to make you excited when your actions finally work to help Indy save the girl and once again beat the Nazis.

One of my all time favourites. An absolute classic! Everyone should play this game!
Recuerdos de juventud
Steam version ist verbugt und ohne patches aus externen quellen unspielbar ab einen gewissen punkt im spiel. new name of object 1053 too int32
Classic
Why so much praise? Puzzles are weak, controls are wonky and the balloon and u-boat bits serve no purpose other than to frustrate the player.
Ein klassisches LucasArts-Point & Click Adventure. Leider sind einige Rätsellösungen zufallsbasiert, was wiederholte Versuche statt Nachdenken erfordert. Wer sich davon nicht frustrieren lässt, wird hier bestens unterhalten.
