Delores is back home and working as a photographer for the Nickel News. Thimbleweed Park hasn’t changed at all in the year she’s been away… or has it? Sample Ron Gilbert’s new adventure game engine in this free prototype that uses “found art” from the award-winning Thimbleweed Park.

If for some reason you decide to play this game using Proton, instead of its native build, then it requires the following launch option in the properties to be able to start, at least for me: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Very repetitive and not particularly fun to play. You just walk back and forth between a handful of places and take pictures. There are no puzzles and the characters just repeat the same lines over and over again. And you can't save your progress between chapters. If you have to go before you collect your five photos, you have to start that chapter over. But you also can't play all 30 photos in one sitting either. The game quits automatically after each assignment is completed (on purpose, it's not a bug, so why???) Also, don't bother watching the end credits, it's stupidly long and no, there isn't any punchline at the end, no witty repartee along the way. You won't miss anything if you exit before it ends. Then again, it's a free game, so there's that...
the original game works on win7 but while essentially the same, this was some experimental thing thrown together over a weekend and never touched again. essentially a tech demo, gotta find a bunch of items for all the characters but you have to do it in one go, as there is no saving. lazy and disappointing.

Please sir, can I have some more?
This is free tiny adventure following Thimbleweed Park (or TP, no pun intended). Or so it seems. The game features Delores as the only playable character visiting most of the starting locations from TP. It starts showing the events as part 10 and one year later than the original game. Is this then a sequel ? It's unclear, it retcons parts of the ending while also giving some possible answers. It also introduces doubt with characters presenting ignorance of crucial things that happened before. The gameplay features 30 total tasks divided into random groups of 5. Once you comply them, the game closes and resets. The next time you restart, you are given 5 different ones and so on. It's a little cumbersome to meet some of the requirements for these tasks. Some are very creative, while others are just moon logic. In reality, this is all explained in a start screen. This is a small prototype that was used as a playtest for the engine and setting for Thimbleweed Park and eventually released during the start of the COVID outbreak. There's no voiceovers, no details. Just a couple of random puzzles contained in the known town locations. Fun to check out after the game and not to be taken as a sequel or even canon.
No one’s paying attention, so here’s the truth: I am very much bitchless
Optimización capada a 95 FPS. Guardar-cargar partida NO permitido.
